The 5’10 165-pound wide receiver had a nice junior year. Throughout the season, he had 57 receptions for 828 yards and 10 touchdowns. Vaughn is an elusive wide receiver that excels out in open space. He has very good athletic ability due to elite change of direction, very good acceleration, speed, and balance. Vaughn showcased good mental processing by identifying zones and sitting in their voids. Very good release against press jam. He’ll use his nasty 1,2-shake to outmaneuver the DB at the LOS. He creates separation using his athletic ability, either juking out defenders or outrunning them. Vaughn has very good ball tracking skills. He uses his good concentration to come down with a bobbled pass, and will catch the ball between multiple defenders. Good catching, he plucks the ball out of the air. He uses his body to adjust either above or below coming down with catch. I’m very excited to see what Vaughn puts together on film for his senior year!
