To wrap up our top five defensive backs in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky, I have Wyatt Peters Wyatt Peters 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Woodford County | 2027 State KY . Peters lines up at safety where he has proven to be reliable against both the run and in coverage. He does a great job of filling the lane and making tackles in the open field against the run, finishing last season with 38 tackles and one tackle for loss in 10 games. Peters also came away with two interceptions, returning one of them for a touchdown as a freshman. Wyatt doesn’t currently hold any offers but he should be a player to watch over the next few seasons.

Peters lines up at safety where he has proven to be reliable in pass coverage. He has tremendous ball skills, showing the ability to break on the ball with perfect timing and attach it at its highest point. Peters finished this past season with two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and several pass breakups in 10 games. He also showed the ability to come downhill and make plays against the run, finishing the year with 38 tackles and one tackle for loss. Peters doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player to watch as he continues to develop over the next few seasons.
