Expert Analysis

– Has really climbed the ladder over the last two years, in terms of how he compares to other 2028 Kentucky Defensive Linemen
– Additionally, has moved out of that “tweener” role and looks to be a full-fledged Defensive End prospect, now up to 6-foot-3 and 215-pounds
– He’ll wrap up his middle school career with a KYMSFA State Championship in the Noevemer and his second Kentucky Future Stars selection in June

, a defensive lineman at Woodford County Middle School. Branson makes a difference with his electric speed and explosiveness in the pocket, proving he can read the handoff and cause major disruption to the running game. I also like how Branson can use bursts of speed to slip past openings and sack the gunslinger.

, a defensive lineman at Woodford County High School. Branson makes a huge difference at the line of scrimmage due to his commanding stopping power, proving he can shut down the rush in the pocket as well as get to the quarterback for the sack. I also like how Branson can read the offense and instantly blast playmakers off the snap.

The Woodford County Middle School football team(s) have been spectacular to track this year, with both the seventh-graders and eighth-graders, still alive in the post-season.. The eighth-graders, in particular, have had quite the season, winning the Bluegrass Conference championship in the process. Currently, they sit awaiting Hebron Cougars in the Region 2 Championship game, which will take place this weekend (October 28th). Defensive lineman

has more than done his share up front. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder just earned his second consecutive Regional Player of the Year Honorable Mention Team-selection and was a standout on a defense that held West Jessamine to -10 yards of total offense during a 72-0 blowout in the Regional semi-finals. Branson is just starting to hit as stride as a prospect–there continues to be a lot of promise here.

Looking for a coachable lineman that gives second effort? Mr. Branson is your man! He has the height to look into the backfield and if you watch him closely, it’s full of plays where he understands the importance of extending arms on contact. His skill set allows him to play both on the edge and in the interior line as well. Dylan also knows how to put them long arms to use when fighting off blockers, then at the last second utilizes his wingspan to engulf the ball carrier trying to sneak in his gap. In the near future I would not be surprised if he settled more inside as he stacks on the pounds for high school.
