This weekend, we will be in Louisville, Kentucky for a stop that looks to be loaded with talent. With that being said, I wanted to preview the combine by focusing on some top players in each class that will be attending. After already covering the classes of 2025 and 2026, I will wrap up this series with some top 2026 prospects to watch at this weekend’s Prep Redzone Combine Series camp in Kentucky.
Kasen Brock Kasen Brock 5’11” | 205 lbs | RB Pulaski County | 2027 State KY is a player that I’m very excited to watch this weekend as he is the top running back in the state in his class. Brock is coming off a strong freshman season in which he carried the ball 190 times for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns in 12 games. Kasen has very impressive speed, showing the ability to explode through the running lane and run away from the defense on long runs. When defenders are able to catch up to him, he has shown the contact balance to break tackles without losing stride. Brock also showed the ability to line up in the slot and pose as a threat in the passing game, finishing his freshman year with 35 receptions for 329 yards and two touchdowns. Kasen doesn’t currently hold any offers but I can see some starting to come his way before too long as he has received some college interest and I believe he has the potential to become a Division I caliber running back prospect.

Another 2027 prospect from Pulaski County who I’m excited to watch compete this weekend is Cohen Finley Cohen Finley 6’2″ | 170 lbs | DB Pulaski County | 2027 State KY . Finley lines up at safety where he is very reliable in pass coverage. He does a great job of reading the quarterback then breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. Cohen finished this past season with three interceptions and several pass breakups in 12 games. He has also shown the ability to fill the lane and provide support against the run, finishing his freshman year with 95 tackles and two tackles for loss. Finley also finished the year with one sack and caught one touchdown pass. Cohen doesn’t currently hold any offers but he has received some college interest and I expect that interest to continue to grow over the next few seasons.
Harrison McGraw Harrison McGraw 6’0″ | 260 lbs | OL North Oldham | 2027 State KY is an offensive lineman that caught my attention with a strong freshman year. McGraw lines up at right guard where he is very impressive as a run blocker. He does a great job of exploding out of his stance and running his feet through contact to drive his man down the field. McGraw finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in several pancake blocks. He is also reliable in pass coverage, showing the quick footwork to get into his pass sets and mirror opposing defensive linemen. McGraw doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player for college coaches to keep an eye on over the next three seasons.

Deakon Partin Deakon Partin 6’3″ | 215 lbs | QB Middlesboro | 2027 State KY is a quarterback who stood out to me during his first season of high school football. As a freshman at Pineville, Partin completed 83/169 passes for 1,449 yards, 14 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in eight games. Partin has a strong arm which he is able to use to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He is also impressive when under pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket while keeping his eyes down the field to make tough throws on the run. Deakon doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect a lot of eyes to be on him this season after transferring to Middlesboro.

Jamarion Gardner Jamarion Gardner 5’9″ | 160 lbs | RB Russellville | 2027 State KY is a running back that stood out to me when watching freshman year film. He led his team in rushing this past season, carrying the ball 77 times for 524 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games. Gardner has explosive speed which he uses to burst through the running lane with a sense of urgency and run away from the defense on long runs. He has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Gardner also played a key role in the passing game this past season, catching 20 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He also came away with one interception on defense as a freshman. Jamarion doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.
Austyn Lawless Austyn Lawless 6’0″ | 200 lbs | LB Somerset | 2027 State KY stood out as one of the top linebackers in the state in his class with a strong freshman year. Lawless lines up at outside linebacker where he is dominant against the run. He has great awareness, showing the ability to read the play quickly and find the ball carrier. Once he finds the ball carrier, he is able to use his speed to flow to them in a hurry to make the tackle before they can get going. Austyn finished this past season with 101 tackles and 12 tackles for loss in 14 games. He also showed the ability to rush the passer, finishing the year with six sacks. Austyn doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player to keep an eye on as he has the potential to become a highly sought after prospect.

Wyatt Peters Wyatt Peters 6’0″ | 160 lbs | DB Woodford County | 2027 State KY is a defensive back who is coming off a solid freshman year. Peters lines up at safety where he has proven to be reliable in pass coverage. He has tremendous ball skills, showing the ability to break on the ball with perfect timing and attach it at its highest point. Peters finished this past season with two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and several pass breakups in 10 games. He also showed the ability to come downhill and make plays against the run, finishing the year with 38 tackles and one tackle for loss. Peters doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player to watch as he continues to develop over the next few seasons.

My final 2027 prospect to watch at this weekend’s Prep Redzone Combine in Kentucky is Landen Stiltner Landen Stiltner 6’0″ | 200 lbs | RB Raceland | 2027 State KY . Stiltner played in mainly a backup role this past season but put together some impressive film when his name was called. Landen has impressive speed, showing the ability to get into the open field and run away from the defense on long runs. He has also shown impressive vision, showing the patience to let his blocks set up and find the open running lane then hit it in a hurry. Landen finished his freshman year with 13 carries for 155 yards and two touchdowns in five games. Stiltner doesn’t currently hold any offers but should be a player to keep an eye on as his role in Raceland’s offense continues to grow.
