Week six has come and gone and there were plenty of standout performers in the second week of the WV high school football season. Here are 15 athletes that stood out during week six of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='907234' first='Brayden' last='Clark'] - Scott '25 WR

Scott junior big play threat [player_tooltip player_id='907234' first='Brayden' last='Clark'] couldn't be covered in their win over a talented Mingo Central squad. We wrote in our Midseason WR Stock Risers article that Clark is a deep ball specialist and he proved just that again this week. The Miners quickly found out that the 6'3 athletic receiver was a load to try to defend and Clark showed why. He caught only 6 passes but they went for 195 yards and two touchdowns on a 32.5 yards per catch average. This is the fourth time this season that Clark has averaged over 30 yards per catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='865454' first='Matt' last='Frye'] - Scott '24 QB

You simply can't not be amazed at the season senior Scott quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='865454' first='Matt' last='Frye'] is putting together this season. It's unlikely that he'll not be worthy of making our weekly standouts every week and had another huge night against previously undefeated Mingo Central. The Skyhawks defeated the Miners by a score of 50-20 and Frye scored five of those touchdowns against what has been a dominant Mingo Central defense until this game. He completed 16 of 23 passes for 326 yards and four touchdowns and also added 23 yards and one more score with his legs. Frye should be in the Kennedy Award conversation if he can finish the season strong.

Bluefield senior athlete [player_tooltip player_id='982063' first='Sencere' last='Fields'] has stepped up big time for the Beavers this season as their quarterback where he typically hasn't played. Bluefield needed an answer at the position while the starter was out and Fields has put together some big performances in his place. The 5'8 140 dynamic senior isn't your typical quarterback but his athleticism makes him a dangerous foe to go against. He ran for 155 yards and three touchdowns while also passing for 126 yards and another score. This snapped Bluefield's three-game losing streak against Independence as the Beavers cruised to a 43-21 win.

This is Pannell's first appearance on our weekly standouts and a 2025 prospect to watch for in Class AA.
