To continue our weekly PRzMN series, we’re highlighting Minnesota’s Top Week 4 Individual Performers, and boy were there some eye-catching showing. From offense, to defense, to special teams, we saw a 40+ FG booted, a 3 sack showing, a 7 TD passing game, some of the best receiving performances of the year, and much more.

One of the breakout stars of the 2023 MN high school football season, Andover 2025 WR Cameron Begalle was an integral part in the Huskies thrilling 63-56 shootout win against Elk River as he totaled 10 receptions for 265 yards and 3 TDs.

Representing Esko and the Great Up North, 2024 Minnesota commit Koi Perich is a special athlete and once again had a special showing vs. then #4 ranked Pequot Lakes as he went off to the tune of 3 total TDs plus a forced fumble that he scooped and ran back for a TD himself, as well as 10 carries for 139 yards, 8 tackles, a sack, and a PBU. Esko won bug 60-0.

Ginskey has been very productive through the air in 2023 for his Owatonna Huskies squad. He had another big day last Friday night against Northfield as he went 16-29 (55%) for 338 yards and 4 TDs. Owatonna got a gritty regional win 26-21.

The 5’11, 170 lb. younger brother of the aforementioned Owatonna QB Jacob Ginskey, 2025 WR Nolan Ginskey was his brother’s favorite target last Friday night and finished his night with 11 receptions for 206 yards and 3 TDs, along with an interception on defense. Northfield wasn’t ready for the Ginskey boys.
With All-American bloodlines, it’s no surprise that 2025 Park Center WR TyJohn Brooks would begin posting eye-popping numbers. Brooks had a big day vs. Cambridge-Isanti last Friday and finished his night with 4 receptions for 125 yards and 2 TDs as well as 236 all-purpose yards.
One of the top defensive presences’ in 6A this fall, Park of Cottage Grove’s free safety Brett Salmonson once again had a productive Friday night against Roseville and was a big part of the Wolfpack’s 28-7 victory. He recorded 12 tackles, one TFL, 158 total yards on 19 touches, and a TD.

Annandale’s TD machine of a QB was once again finding the endzone with ease last Friday against Milaca. Walter was 12-18 through the air for 218 yards and 4 TDs and added 5 carries for 69 yards and 2 more TDs on the ground. Annandale got the W and is 4-0 at the midway point of the regular season!

One of the state’s most explosive receivers, Coon Rapids‘ stud wideout KCC continued his splash play playstyle and posted 2 receptions for 162 yards and 2 TDs plus 5 tackles and an INT defensively. Coon Rapids beat Champlin Park in a thriller, 41-34.

Champlin Park sadly came out on the losing end of a thrilling shootout against Coon Rapids, but not because of their QB play. Quarterback Gavin Stahl posted 250 passing yards, 30 rushing yards, and 5 TDs through the air.

In one of the state’s best games from last Friday, Andover got a huge 5A victory over Elk River 63-56 and their QB play was a big part of the victory. QB/DB Hudson Maynard popped off to the tune of 14-18 (78%) for 305 passing yards and 4 TDs and added 77 rushing yards and 2 more TDs on the ground. He’s got my vote for top performance of the week overall.

Chanhassen’s superstar RB Maxwell Woods had a big day vs. Waconia as he finished his night with 22 touches for 221 yards and 2 TDs. He also added 2 PBUs and 2 tackles as a safety.

A part of Benilde-St. Margaret’s excellent receiving corps, 2025 6’2, 190 lber. Khalif Brown had a big day vs. a ranked Totino-Grace squad and finished with 7 receptions for 148 yards and 2 TDs. However, the Red Knights lost 35-19.

Recent Wyoming commit Hunter Kallstrom posted a Randy Moss-esque stat line in Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg’s win over West Central Area as he caught 3 passes for 129 yards and 3 TDs. Kallstrom also recorded a sack.

Brady Crabtree
Crabtree is having a strong senior season for Frazee and scored all 5 TDs as the Hornets defeated Warroad 35-0.

Jakob Nachreiner
The state’s most productive QB tallied 14 completions on 20 attempts (70%) for 279 yards and 7 TDs as Springfield put a whooping on Wabasso 53-20.
Hungerholt is having a monster year for LeRoy-Ostrander and had another big performance last Friday in a gritty 24-21 win over Southland as he rushed 40 times (!) for 256 yards and 3 TDs, completed 10 passes on 21 attempts for 128 yards, and added 7 tackles defensively.
Highlights
The 2025 RB was a key part of Mound Westonka’s nail-biting 37-35 win over Providence Academy and rushed 38 times for 247 yards and 5 TDs. He also caught a pass for 35 yards.
Mountain Iron-Buhl standout Chris King had one of the best defensive performances in the state last Friday and totaled 9 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 3 sacks in the 72-0 shutout of Cass Lake-Bena.

Peyton Honnoll had a great special teams showing in Rogers‘ 26-13 win over Spring Lake Park as he booted a 41-yard FG and a 23-yard FG to help the Royals defeat the Panthers.
One of the top RBs in the state, St. Thomas Academy’s Savion Hart toted the rock 18 times for 184 yards and 5 TDs as the Cadets beat up on Mahtomedi 42-14. 5A is stacked this fall.
