Carmel – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While Clotherty lit it up we got our first varsity look at this sophomore in packages.&nbsp; The athleticism and ability to run caught our attention.&nbsp; Clean release and a lot of upside.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id='2180997' first='Carter' last='Pohlman'] (Glenbard East – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lefty sophomore who has also made noise as a hoops prospect.&nbsp; He makes quick and sound decisions with the ball in his hands.&nbsp; Throws it well rolling out.&nbsp; Plays almost like a point guard getting the ball out his hands quickly often knowing exactly where he is going before the snap.&nbsp; Puts his guys in position to succeed in space.&nbsp; A lot of short passes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id='2110553' first='Xavier' last='Vinson'] (Warren – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Senior QB for Warren is a pocket passer that has sound mechanics along with being able to throw on the move when needed.&nbsp; Puts nice touch on his passes.&nbsp; Makes sound decisions with the ball and goes through his reads before taking off with his legs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id='2343252' first='Rahiem' last='Pickett'] (Peoria – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Athletic 5'8” quarterback puts a lot of zip on his passes.&nbsp; He gets the ball out of his hands quickly making fast decisions.&nbsp; Good arm strength.&nbsp; Has the athleticism to run when that is needed.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB [player_tooltip player_id='2105090' first='Broden' last='Mackert'] (Providence Catholic – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mackert went off for 283 all purpose yards and 5 scores against Kenwood.&nbsp; Such a versatile back that can really catch passes out of the backfield with natural hands.&nbsp; Runs hard and uses quality angles to get the advantage on the defense.&nbsp; Quick footwork in traffic being slippery getting by defenders.&nbsp; Breaks tackles and is really tough to bring down or even get a clean hit on.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB [player_tooltip player_id='2110302' first='Cayden' last='Brown'] (Decatur MacArthur – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 5'11” back had 107 yards and 3 touchdowns in just one half of play against Granite City.&nbsp; Smooth and powerful cuts with the rock in his hands.&nbsp; Runs with strength in between the tackles.&nbsp; Very elusive on the second level with such quick moves and then turns it on in the open field.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB [player_tooltip player_id='1956541' first='Kodi' last='Garner'] (Plainfield South – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Garner has speed for days!&nbsp; Back that can run it and catch on screen plays with natural hands.&nbsp; Breaks tackles and defenders bounce off him.&nbsp; Lighting in the open field breaking away from defenders.&nbsp; Pass catching back has bright future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB Joseph Wehbe (Glenbrook South – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wehbe is a powerful back that has quick footwork in the hole and on the second level.&nbsp; Like the vision he has making sudden cuts while keeping his eyes up to see what is ahead of him.&nbsp; Moves the chains.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB [player_tooltip player_id='2075352' first='Hayden' last='Phillips'] (Lockport – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Phillips is back/H-back that is effective as a pass catcher getting out in space and making things happen.&nbsp; Natural hands and can protect his QB in pass protection.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='1688392' first='DeAngelo' last='Coates'] (Providence Catholic – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cotes is an athletic receiver that has explosiveness down the field.&nbsp; Tracks it well on deep throws.&nbsp; Also has quickness after the catch on bubble screens and short passes. Against Kenwood he used his size on the outside as a blocker as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='1275281' first='Duran' last='Sims'] (Mt. Carmell – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As WR3 for the Caravan Sims might not have the stats he would if on another team, but no doubt he is one of the best pass catchers in the senior class.&nbsp; Smooth route runner that sets his defender up.&nbsp; Works well out of the slot going over the middle getting in and out of his cuts quickly and being slippery with it in his hands.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR Jaziah Howard (North Boone – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This 6'0” 2028 receiver has a wiry frame and good speed.&nbsp; Gets downfield where he tracks the ball in the air.&nbsp; Vertical threat that has a good feel for the position being able to run go routes along with being slippery on short routes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='1539371' first='Dinari' last='Overton'] (Plainfield East – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At 6'1” 190 pounds Overton is a versatile athlete tht can fly to the ball as a safety making tackles.&nbsp; Good acceleration to the ball.&nbsp; Offensively he brings the hops and pop getting up of the ground to make big plays in the air.&nbsp; Wins in jump ball situations!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='1920655' first='Darryl' last='Adams'] (Mt. Carmel – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Adams has shined on the sophomore level as a big time wide out.&nbsp; Makes major impact in the return game as a threat to go to the house.&nbsp; Vertical threat s a wide receiver that can win on deep routes along with getting in and out his cuts extremely smooth.&nbsp; Tracks the ball well in the air.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR Austin Beckman (Niles Notre Dame)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Going back to some week 1 highlights Beckman had 2 scores and 105 yards in their JV game.&nbsp; Shifty with the ball in his hands making guys miss.&nbsp; Tracks it pretty well downfield.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR Levi Garcia (Washington – 2030)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Freshman wide receiver caught a 39 yard touchdown&nbsp; in their JV game on a double catch on a deep go route.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE Vance Weber (Highland – 2029)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Weber transferred back to his hometown after freshman year at Chaminade.&nbsp; Great size at 6'6” which helps him win contested balls in the endzone.&nbsp; Physical runner with the ball in his hands.&nbsp; Tracks it well in the air.&nbsp; Like the projectability here.&nbsp; Also a nice hoops prospect.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE [player_tooltip player_id='1268284' first='Hunter' last='Long'] (Providence Catholic – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Long is a monster blocker for Providence Catholic.&nbsp; Lead blocker often for his backs as an H-back on the move.&nbsp; Very good blocker especially in space.&nbsp; Slipped in for a touchdown over the middle lined up in-line.&nbsp; Also provides value as long snapper on kicks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE [player_tooltip player_id='2148177' first='Ty' last='Kennedy'] (Mt. Carmel – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kennedy is emerging as a tight end in the 2028 class at 6'4” 215 pounds.&nbsp; Great size and frame along with good athleticism.&nbsp; Could be the x-factor as the season goes on for the Caravan.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE [player_tooltip player_id='2105078' first='Joshua' last='Repmann'] (Neuqua Valley – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'4” and 200 pound tight end is a good blocker on the outside along with as a lead blocker when lining up as an H-back.&nbsp; Will need to continue to bulk up, but has tools to play at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1791871' first='Jackson' last='Cook'] (Harlem – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The North Dakota State commit continues to prove why NDSU is so good with their evaluations as they got a steal!&nbsp; Elite two way athlete that as an offensive threat is a guy that will take the top off a defense consistently on go routes.&nbsp; He tracks the ball phenomenally well on deep balls.&nbsp; You can run any type of play you want.&nbsp; Just get the ball in his hands!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>K Wolfie Ketterling (Lyons – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The LT kicker helped secure their win Friday with a 35 yard field goal.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>K [player_tooltip player_id='2148867' first='Sergio' last='Claudio'] (Kennedy – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Kennedy kicker was 6/6 on PAT along with 2/3 on field goals which proved to be the difference hitting the game winner in OT.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
