Expert Analysis
Scott Burgess | Prep Redzone Scout
Overton really pops on tape as a hard-hitting safety that can fly to the ball. Covers a ton of ground and tackles well in space. Really like the size and athleticism combination on the back end. Can separate the ball from the receiver. Gets off blocks and is relentless pursuing the ball. Also flashes as a strong bodied receiver with some juice after the catch running with it.

is versatile athlete that could work out on both sides of the ball at any event he participates in if he wanted to. On tape, Overton impacts the game in all three phases. In live observation, he is an impressive athlete, particularly at his age, with a great combination of physical and athletic traits. He competes at a high level, runs good routes with aggressiveness and twitch, is easily able to separate from the coverage, shows natural hands. Overton already looks like a high end prospect with great potential, and will only get bigger and better moving forward.

The overall MVP who set the tone in the group. Dinari tested well, led group drills, and gave defenders trouble during 1on1’s. His height and get off, made DBs respect him all the more and it played into Dinari creating space to increase the QBs confidence to throw the ball his way. The double moves on selected routes really showcased his ability to get open.

is seasoned to make a splash at the next level and it showed at camp. He attacked group period with the receivers and took instruction well. The defensive backs had their work cut out for them. Overton utilized his frame, speed, and attention to detail to separate often to make catches. At times, he made the quarterbacks look good due to high pointing balls or making plays by coming back to under thrown balls for a catch.
