Expert Analysis
Scott Burgess | Prep Redzone Scout
Lee is a 6’4″ signal caller who is one of the best passers in the state. Very sound mechanically and stands strong in the pocket. Love the touch that he puts on his passes downfield. Quick processor reading the defense and making the right read. Good feel for putting touch and different zip on passes when they are needed. Hits his back foot and lets it fly with velo or on a rope downfield on go routes. Footwork is consistent and works well in play action passing. Good ball placement putting it where his receiver can make the play and do damage after.

is one of the most impressive young quarterbacks entering high school this year. He already has the size at 6’3″ and 175 pounds, but it’s his fundamentals that stand out. He is a polished passer with great footwork and timing. He does a great job throwing the ball in rhythm and understands where to go with the football. Lee is an accurate passer with excellent ball placement on his throws. He will no doubt be one of the best quarterbacks in the state for years to come.

The QB MVP of the camp had a fantastic performance that spoke for itself, as there wasn’t a ball thrown that was not on target from Matthew. Matthew showed that he could throw the ball into tight windows with receivers on the run as well as slinging it downfield over the receiver’s shoulders. On top of his elite accuracy, Matthew showed great feet in the pocket with the ability to escape in a real-world scenario and put the ball on target. Matthew showed out at the Prospect Tour in Barrington, and I am confident he will continue to do the same as his career progresses.

Watching Lee play, he looks like a man amongst boys on the field at this point. At 6-foot-1 and 145-pounds he has exceptional size for a class of 2028 signal caller. The type of Quarterback with maturity and ability on the same level. Played 7-on-7 football for Midwest Boom this past year, one of the top programs in the nation. He has a ton of ability in terms of accuracy and arm strength at his point. Attended the Prep Redzone Next Midwest showcase this past spring and was a top performer, despite being one of the youngest in attendence.
