Long is a three phase player that shows his athleticism and versatility at the linebacker and long snapper positions. Long is highly regarded as one of the better long snappers in the nation. His recent performance at the Vegas 48 Rubio event was termed as “dominant” a month ago. He gets great spin and velocity on the ball and hits targets with consistency. He has a physical frame at 6010 225, reports length measurables at 78 wingspan and 9 inch hands, athletic measureables at 4.83×40, 4.62 shuttle, 7.57 cone and 8’10 broad jump. Amongst those are a 1.62 10 yard split which specifically applies to his ability to excel at snapper, indicating his ability to get a quick reaction and release after explosively delivering the football. isn’t deserving of the current TE1 status. Long has a great multi-sport resume and earned three varsity letters as a freshman, coming from football, hockey, and track & field. Throwing shot put and discus, Long went 102-01 in the discus and 38-11.50 in the shot put, and Long can also long snap on special teams. He was used as a RB, TE, and DE in 2023, and the utility are another big bonus on his budding athletic resume. Long can finish catches through contact, break tackles with his impressive contact balance and strong lower body, and is confident and capable with the ball in-hand. He’s a tough kid who will go over the middle and reel in receptions through traffic, owns a big stiff-arm, and is a physical blocker. As a DE, the 210 lber. also posted a sack and forced a fumble on a big goal line stick in impressive fashion as well.
