Sims sometimes flies under the radar for the Caravan, but make no mistake he is a big time pass catcher.  Freak athlete that makes crazy catches in the air, goes over the middle out of the slot splitting the defense, and has a ton of juice with the ball in his hands.  Effective on reverses, bubble screens, and gadgets plays.  High level deep threat that has soft hands.  Makes catches from all three levels. 

Duran Sims Duran Sims 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Mt. Carmel | 2027 State IL plays bigger than his 5091 141 frame. In live action during the fall, Sims flashed the ability to high point a football and adjust his body for the tough catch. In offseason action so far, Sims displays the ability to be explosive off the line, run sharp routes, create separation from the coverage, and good hands. Other MC receivers have gotten more attention, but Sims will garner his fair share of eyeballs heading into the season.

Sims is a 5’10” 155 pound wide receiver that could emerge as the #3 guy for the Caravan this year.  He is a quick possession guy that is excellent on short comeback routes.  Vertical potential and has good hands.

Duran Sims Duran Sims 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Mt. Carmel | 2027 State IL is a legitimate offensive weapon for Mt. Carmel High School. He is an explosive athlete who dominates in the slot position, using his speed to outrun defenders in the secondary. Sims also excels as a returner on special teams. It’s no surprise he was a top performer at the Prep Redzone Showcase in Illinois in May. Sims is just scratching the surface of his true potential.
