Tailbacks

[player_tooltip player_id='1667978' first='Boston' last='Burns'] of Liberty North is the big mover of the tailback group. He put up big numbers this offseason in the camp setting in terms of speed and explosion, and offers position versatility on the offensive side of the ball for the next level. Burns has some lower level interest and a big one to watch this fall to see those next level offers come through. Moss and Thompson both have strong FBS level grades, and their offseason testing numbers affirm their tape evaluations. Moss is currently committed to Illinois State, and Thompson has some mid-lower level interest, but that 4.36 testing speed could lead to some interesting results this fall. Lindsey is another who tested with good speed this offseason and should see some increased level action come his way before NSD.

Retrievers

The wide receiver group had the largest number of risers with 26, outrising the offensive line group by a single prospect. A pair of prospects based on their 2025 junior year film and off-season numbers rose into the Top 10 in the overall rankings, and [player_tooltip player_id='1590182' first='Deng' last='Tong'] rose to take over the Number One ranked receiver in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='1727428' first='Carter' last='Holmes'] is the second top riser amongst the receiver group, breaking into the Top 100 and has great potential with his verified speeds at 10.8 in the 100m and sub 4.5 in the 40 yard. [player_tooltip player_id='1323474' first='John' last='Michael Collins'] is the top riser amongst the group and the entire 2027 class, also breaking into the Top 100 and clocking very good speed times this offseason with 10.8 100m times and in the 4.6 range in the 40. Prospects like Heman, Brown, Proden, Collier, Minnix, Rover, and Swinton posses great size, length and potential. Others like Smith, Searcy, Banks, Sykes, Murchison, Gray and Frazier flash in the open field or with their long speed and can generate big lays with the football. Lots to watch out of the receiver group this fall.

Tight Ends

Biggest riser amongst the tight end group is [player_tooltip player_id='2049972' first='Joseph' last='Hutchins'] out of University City. Hutchins is a versatile player that goes both ways playing iDL and Y-TE and H-Back offensively. Built like a fullback, and with offensive flashes of productivity on film, Hutchins has potential at H-Back/FB at the next level. Wilkes also looks like a H-Back/FB at the next level, is good with the ball as a receiver and has the athletic ability to create with the ball after the catch. Chapo is a big frame guy that is strong over the middle, a weapon in the redzone-tightzone situation, has long speed when he breaks away and good in the blocking game.

Offensive Trenches

The second most number of risers in this rankings reboot (and it's not even close) is the hoggies up front. [player_tooltip player_id='1669358' first='Brayden' last='Harris'] slotted into the Top 5 overall in the state and Number One offensive tackle. [player_tooltip player_id='1667933' first='Tavion' last='Heyward'] is the second ranked tackle but might have the highest ceiling of the entire group with his length and athletic ability. Three prospects in the 2027 class rose 200 places or more and two of them reside in this group. Enter [player_tooltip player_id='1590228' first='Mason' last='Waitkoss'] who is a physical and mean iOL with good feet and lateral agility and can play in space. Isaac Owens may be a bit undersized but is an absolute animal that projects to move inside from tackle. Players like Kevin Gilyard and [player_tooltip player_id='2049969' first='King' last='Wright'] have all the size and girth and can move bodies from A to B. There's [player_tooltip player_id='1651420' first='James' last='O'Farrell'], [player_tooltip player_id='1556818' first='Caden' last='Ford'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1323480' first='Jonathan' last='O'Bara'] that have long frames and athletic ability for pass pro. From top to bottom, college programs can find quality talent upfront that have desirable qualities like size, length, road graders in the run game, can move laterally on the edge, play at the second level and in space, and all of them are entirely under-recruited.

Defensive Trenches

The biggest mover amongst the interior defensive line was [player_tooltip player_id='1615290' first='Jordan' last='Fraction'] from Jefferson City. His tape displays motor and athletic ability packed in a tweener body type. Mid to lower level programs will be watching his production this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='1567627' first='Jonathan' last='Ibeawuchi'] may not have all the height but has the muscular frame and natural play strength to cause damage. He is sudden, violent and aggressive. Dixon, Kwi and Berry are over-the-ball players that have the size and strength to plug things up in the middle with good-for-size athletic traits that allow them to make plays in the backfield.

EDGE Rushers

The massive riser in this group is [player_tooltip player_id='1726900' first='Andrew' last='Oldham'] from Marquette. Oldham has the size and frame to play perpetually with his hand in the dirt, but also the ability to move laterally in space, set the edge, make plays in the backfield and be a terror to quarterbacks. [player_tooltip player_id='1587367' first='Prince' last='Goldsby']'s rise was modest in number but huge in the grand scheme as that meant a rise to Number One overall prospect in the state. Goldsby plays all over the field, and has the combination of physical and athletic traits and potential to dominate at a premium position at the next level. Williams impressed with his intensity live this offseason in the one on one camp and combine setting, and Pinkston has wrecking ball qualities to him that can create chaos.

Backers

There's one that sticks out in terms of numerical spots risen, and it's [player_tooltip player_id='1667956' first='Noah' last='Norman'] out of Lindbergh. This versatile athlete has assumed many roles in his young career, but will find himself at the second level playing college ball. Good production, has 11.56 100m speed, physical, fluid, and fundamentally sound. [player_tooltip player_id='408969' first='Caleb' last='Green'] rose to the Number One linebacker prospect and into the Top 10 in the Show Me State. He delivered incredible production in 2025, went sideline to sideline like a spider, and earned LB MVP honors at the Under Armour Next Camp Series in St. Louis this offseason. [player_tooltip player_id='1590205' first='Drew' last='Benassi'] was a two-way player that had impressive 2025 tape with his reactive quickness and physicality, and another that had incredible production on the defensive side. [player_tooltip player_id='1590220' first='Josh' last='McCarthy'], similarly, is a two-way star athlete that will find himself on the defensive side of the ball at the next level that displays impressive combinations of size and athletic ability attacking the football. Lea has size, fundamentals and instincts. Lige has speed off the ball and a high motor. Barber punches well above his weight class.

The huge riser here was [player_tooltip player_id='1325186' first='Jeyshan' last='Scott'] out of Hickman. Scott plays with aggressiveness and a Division I body type, and in short areas, can move very well. [player_tooltip player_id='1323484' first='Mikey' last='Vonner'] out of Fort Zumwalt North has good verified height and length, and plays with quick feet, body control and technique. [player_tooltip player_id='1324007' first='Xanden' last='Johnson'] was another massive riser who, despite being undersized, plays big and physical with great effort and balance in transition. Cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='1325176' first='Evan' last='Via'] was another new Number One prospect, topping the secondary group. [player_tooltip player_id='1324009' first='Keiran' last='Govan'] rose up into the Top 10 and is the Number One safety in the State. Wilmes has size, fundamentals and leadership intangibles. Kritza measured and tested well this offseason and certainly rose his stock with his performance in the camp and combine setting. Several prospects on this list are watch lists players heading into 2026.

Athletes

A short list with big potential. The biggest riser is [player_tooltip player_id='1667948' first='Amar'e' last='Carter'] who had limited film and big flashes as an offensive playmaker. Next was [player_tooltip player_id='1325183' first='Braydee' last='McClure'] who serves as his program's quarterback, but will play elsewhere at the next level, and no one knows where. What we do know is sub-4.4 speed is tough to keep off the field. Speaking of speed, [player_tooltip player_id='1726896' first='Blayne' last='Reagan'] is a 10.7/21.4 track star that impacts all three phases of the game. The explosive athlete leaves observers pondering his role at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id='1727368' first='Ethan' last='Ross'] is also a track star that competed in the Nike and USATF Nationals and has 21.4 100m speed. He stood out at receiver in the camp and combine setting this offseason and this fall will be big for him once he gets his initial tape in circulation. Johnson is a good athlete that had limited film from last fall due to injury and will see his value emerge in the form of WR/DB. Mansfield is a big WR playing out of position at TE/H-Back that can block and finish with the football after the catch.
