Sykes put up 51 catches, 857 receiving yards, and 6 touchdowns. Sykes caught my eye when I saw him play the Nixa Eagles in the Class 6 Quarterfinals last year. He had a great outing against a very stingy defense that featured Southern Illinois commit Randy Flint. It was a great battle between the two all night long, it was impressive to see Sykes go toe to toe with Flint.

Sykes possesses grade A route running, he gets in and out of breaks extremely quick and fluid. Matched with good hands and YAC ability Sykes is in for a monster Senior season.

Sykes played his heart out last Friday night. He provided a spark to this Crusaders offense when it seemed like all the lights were going to turn off on their 2025 football season.

He really impressed me against the Nixa defensive backs, mainly because that is a very good secondary over there. Sykes was able to beat the defense in the slot and out wide. His routes are among the best I’ve seen thus far in 2025. He can stop on a dime and accelerate at a lightning-fast pace. He made a very lasting impression on me.
