Texas Tech Identifies Future Talent With Wave of New Offers

<p>Texas Tech has been active on the recruiting trail this offseason. As the camp season came to an end this past weekend, the Red Raiders hosted their final camp. Tech hosted several elite out of state prospects, who took home offers, as well as a handful of in state recruits who definitely moved up on the Red Raiders's boards after standout camp performances. We spotlight the several underclassmen who have been on a steady climb on the recruiting trail this offseason, as well as a class of 2027 defensive lineman who took home an offer after dominating in Lubbock.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Nied has strong hands, he attacks the football in flight with aggressiveness and he is tenacious, which enables him to win his reps in close quarters. He has superb quickness, combined with clean route running that allows to create separation at the line of scrimmage. Easton is a savvy route runner who excels at getting open in the seams and flats. After a strong performance in Lubbock over the weekend, Nied to home an offer from the Red Raiders. His fall tape shows that he is a playmaker on both sides of the ball, showing great ball skills and the ability to make game changing plays. As a wideout he is explosive off of the line of scrimmage, he stacks defenders at the line scrimmage, creating separation and his elite body control allows him to win on the 50/50 balls routinely. He is a polished route runner with elite quickness that enables him to create separation early on at the snap. Gold has the speed and burst to get deep but his ability to get in and out off his breaks quickly in the short to intermediate zones, makes him a tough cover. Tech is the latest to offer Gold, along with a recent offer from Oklahoma State. Roberson saw some time the Duncanville backfield during the playoffs last season and he has made a steady climb this offseason as one of the fast rising prospects in the 2029 class in Texas. He is a ferocious blocker who plays with a nasty streak and he finishes blocks to the ground. Chase is savvy route runner who has an explosive burst at the snap but has the ability to shut down, cut and get open often. He has strong hands that attack the football at the catch point aggressively. Foster Jr. is a big body target who uses frame to shield off defenders in tight coverage allowing to win his one one matchups. He has the speed to get deep but his ability to work the intermediate areas allows him to be a threat at every level of the field. Joyner III is a reliable target with sure hands. He has been lighting up the 7v7 circuits this spring and he has performed well at multiple camps this offseason. At 6-foot-5, he has a large catch radius but what most is impressive is his quickness and explosiveness off the ball. Austin is a smooth route runner who has superb hands and his clean footwork off the line of scrimmage enabled him to win reps consistently. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">While Choate has yet to play a down in a high school game, he has the traits that jump out immediately when he lines up. He has the skill set to flex out and play out in space at wideout or line up as a traditional inline tight end. Russell has the body control to make contested catches in traffic and he wins on the 50/50 jump balls routinely. He saw meaningful snaps as a freshman at Kenedy and he is one of top returners coming back this fall. Russell had a strong performance in Lubbock bringing home an offer from the Red Raiders. He has an explosive get off at the snap, he uses his hands well at engagement to stun his opponents and when he gets penetration he finishes with violent intentions. Cameron has a high motor and he has the speed to chase down plays. Bledsoe is trending upward on the recruiting and his latest offer came from the Red Raiders after a great camp performance. Blalock Jr. explodes of the ball, he delivers a stiff punch at engagement, he uses his extended reach to get hands on defenders and gain control early. He finishes blocks through the whistle and he has the athleticism to get to the second level with ease. Blalock Jr, at 6-foot-6 315lbs, has a college ready skill set and he camped with the Red Raiders over the weekend, leaving with an offer. He is a disruptive force who has an explosive first step and his ability to collapse the pocket allows him to get penetration. Jordyn has great lateral quickness combined with nimble feet and he closes on ball carriers with violent intentions. Sims took snaps during his freshman season at running back. He showed great balance, he ran with power and he was a nightmare for defenders. His speed and agility was on full display. Sims breaks tackles at the second level and made defensives pay for stepping up to stop the run. He is a freakish athlete who had a great showing in Lubbock at their most recent camp and he left with an offer. He has fluid hips with clean footwork and he has the ability to stop, cut and redirect quickly allowing him to stay engaged with receivers in coverage. Patterson is a sure tackler who is stout against run and he tackles well in the open field. Haedyn is a special teams threat, he has excellent vision with the wiggle to make defenders miss in the open field and he has speed to break off big runs for scores. His freshman stats were highly productive, registering 31 tackles, 14 solo tackles, an interception, 10 PBUs and a touchdown. At 6-foot 260 lbs, he has a compact, stout build with a powerful lower half that enables him to explode off the ball at the snap. Tedricc has an elite first step that allows him to gain penetration and collapse the pocket and be stout against the run. After camping with the Red Raiders the Troy standout picked up an offer and made his commitment this week to play his collegiate football in Lubbock.</p>   <p></p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Thomas has been on a steady climb up the recruiting ranks this offseason and he picked up his 15th offer after camping in Lubbock over the weekend. He is a lengthy defensive back who has fluid hips combined with clean footwork and he has the ability to change directions fluidly. Thomas transitions into his backpedal smoothly and he has the extended reach that allows him to close down passing windows. </p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Dylan is two way player who can dominate offensively at receiver. He is a long strider with the speed to get deep and shows the quickness to create separation from defenders off the line of scrimmage. He has a large catch radius that enables him to win on jump balls.
