Under the Radar and On the Rise

<p>Texas is loaded with talent, and there are plenty of prospects putting together strong seasons without always getting the recognition they deserve. From rising underclassmen to players starting to turn heads with their recent performances, this group is making a case for more attention. We take a look at some of the under the radar prospects across the Lone Star State who are showing they belong in the conversation.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Lawson brings an aggressive style to the linebacker position and has shown he can make plays in multiple areas. He does a good job dropping into coverage and staying with assignments in space, giving him the ability to impact the passing game. When he gets downhill, Lawson brings plenty of pop as a tackler and isn't afraid to deliver big hits. He has the frame to contest throws at the catch point and does a good job using his reach when playing the ball. John can cover ground in the secondary and has shown the ability to stay involved when the action moves downfield. He has shown flashes of his ability on film and brings tools that can make an impact on both sides of the ball. As the season continues, I expect we will get a better look at everything Antonio can bring to the table and how his game continues to develop.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Preston catches your attention on film with the way he handles the center position. He does a nice job recognizing what is happening in front of him and getting his body in position to keep defenders from disrupting the play. Preston shows good balance when working in tight spaces and can work his way to the second level when the play calls for it. He brings a good combination of size, athletic ability, and playmaking potential to the position, giving him opportunities to impact the game in different ways. He has made some good throws on film and shows the ability to stand in the pocket and give his receivers opportunities down the field. He plays with an aggressive approach and does a good job getting upfield to disrupt the play before it can develop. Rory shows the ability to bend around the corner, chase down the quarterback, and make plays when the ball comes his way. He shows that mentality on special teams, running down on kickoffs and making tackles instead of shying away from contact. That effort carries over to his work at running back, where he runs with purpose and looks for ways to create positive yardage. Eyan's willingness to contribute in multiple areas adds another layer to his game.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Malcom is an ATH who brings plenty of athletic ability and can make things happen in different spots on the field. He shows good movement skills and does a nice job finding ways to get involved in the action. With the ball in his hands, Malcom has the quickness to make defenders miss and the ability to turn a small opening into a bigger play. He also shows good instincts when working in space and understands how to use his athleticism to create separation. On defense, he can close ground quickly and has the range to make plays around the ball. Malcom has several tools to work with, and as he continues to develop, there is plenty of room for his game to grow.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">When watching Braden, you can see the ability he has to make positive things happen on the field. He plays with good awareness and does a nice job putting himself in position to make plays when opportunities come his way. Braden has shown the ability to create when the ball is in his hands and find ways to help his team move the chains. He shows good quickness and vision, allowing him to find space and make something happen after the catch or in the open field. Aandon plays with an attacking style and does a good job turning his athletic ability into positive plays. He has good vision as a runner, finding running lanes and making quick decisions once he gets the handoff. Noah has the burst to hit the hole and the change of direction to make defenders adjust in the open field. He runs with balance and keeps his feet moving through contact, which allows him to squeeze extra yards out of each carry. He shows good footwork when getting into position and uses his hands well to stay attached to defenders. Ryne can open lanes in the run game and does a nice job keeping his quarterback clean when dropping into pass protection. He also shows good awareness when defenders move around before the snap, allowing him to adjust and stay ready for what comes n</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Shayon is a DB who shows good instincts and does a nice job reacting to what develops in front of him. He has the quickness to stay with receivers and can close space when the ball is thrown his way. Shayon also does a good job coming downhill when the play is in front of him and isn't afraid to step up and make the tackle. His ability to cover and contribute against the run gives him multiple ways to impact the defense.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Chase has been looking good at the RB position and has shown a nice feel for running the ball. He does a good job seeing the opening and getting through the line with quickness. Once he gets into space, Chase can accelerate quickly and put pressure on defenders to make a play. He also runs with good balance and keeps himself moving forward when contact comes his way. He gets downhill quickly when he sees the action develop and does a good job closing space on ball carriers. In coverage, Skinner stays active and uses his quickness to challenge receivers and get around the ball. He gets off the ball quickly and uses his first step to gain ground on blockers. Daniel shows good bend when turning the corner and can work his way into the backfield to disrupt the quarterback or running game. He also does a nice job setting the edge and keeping outside runs from getting to the perimeter. Aiden does a good job navigating through traffic and has the closing speed to get to ball carriers before they can turn the corner.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Justin is looking really good at linebacker, showing a strong feel for finding the football and getting downhill when he sees his opening. He plays with good instincts in the box and does a nice job working through traffic to get himself into position to make plays. Justin can close ground quickly, stays active around the ball, and brings a physical approach when making tackles.
