H-Town Firepower: Week 3's Offensive Standouts

<p>Week three brought plenty of offensive firepower across the Houston area, with playmakers delivering game changing performances under the Friday night lights. From explosive touchdowns and impressive stat lines to clutch plays in key moments, the prospects helped power their teams while boosting their profiles on the recruiting trail.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Jeffrey is athletic in the pocket, he displays excellent awareness under pressure and his ability to make accurate passes allows him to extend plays. He has the arm talent to stretch the field with the deep ball and he understands how to throw his receivers open in the short to intermediate zones. Jeffrey had a outstanding performance in week three, passing for 283 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 42-35 win over Elkins. Get your eyes on him, he will be a steal for the right college program.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Warren is a shifty, explosive runner, he runs with power in between the tackles and he hs the speed to turn a short run into six points. He has excellent vision and when he sees daylight, he has the burst to separate at the second level. In week three, Warren rushed for 210 yards and a touchdown. Warren averaged over 8 yards per carry. Look for defenses to see a heavy dose of Warren this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Thomas is a talented runner who combines speed with power and he is a home run threat with the football in his hands. He uses his excellent vision to set up his blocks and when he finds a crease he has the burst to separate at the second level. Thomas is a weapon as a pass catcher out of the backfield, showing strong, reliable hands and he excels at runs after the catch. In week three Thomas exploded for 202 yards rushing, 3 touchdowns on the ground and a receiving touchdown. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Brown Jr. has been on a tear early on this season and he helped Austin pick up a win over Kashmere in week three snapping a 20 games losing streak. Brown Jr. can line up at receiver, running back or quarterback and be a threat to score from any down or distance. He has elite quickness, he can cut on a dime and he makes defenders miss in space. His week three performance saw him rush for 193 yards and 3 touchdowns. Brown Jr. averaged 16 yards per carry, showing the explosive skill set that makes him a weapon with the football in his hands.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Walker II is a dual threat who can make plays with his arm and with his feet, making him extremely difficult to defend. He has a strong arm with excellent deep ball touch and Walker II completes the short to intermediate routes at a high percentage. He is a dangerous runner, who has the quickness to avoid defenders in the open field and he has the speed to separate at the second level. Walker II helped LaMarque get their first win of the season but he has been a bright spot for the Cougars early on this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Polk is a powerful runner who won't go down from arm tackles, he has a stout, compact build and he runs with excellent pad level in between the tackles. He is shifty with superb short area quickness, he has great contact balance and this enables him to turn short gains into game changing plays. Polk broke loose in week three for 6 touchdowns and rushed for 262 yards. The junior has rushed for 694 yards and 15 touchdowns in the first four games. He is a prospect to keep track of this season.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Copelin has started the season on fire and in week three he set a school record, passing for 7 touchdowns. He has excellent pocket awareness, Copelin is athletic with ability to navigate pressure and he keeps his eyes on his targets downfield. He has the arm talent to spray the route tree at all levels of the field with accuracy and he can make throws from multiple arm slots. Copelin can make plays with his feet enabling him to be a threat in the running game.
