Copelin is the next QB1 in line to take over at The Woodlands this season and he put the state on notice with his performance in College Station over the weekend. He is extremely accurate in the short to intermediate zones and he has the arm talent to push the ball deep, stretching the defense vertically. Even with limited action, he showed flashes of being able to operate the offense and create momentum when needed. Whether it was improvising outside the pocket or picking up yards on the ground, he consistently found ways to “make it happen” when the play didn’t go as designed.
