Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
An impressive 2028 cornerback south of Atlanta, Ivey is a talented cornerback fresh off a really strong sophomore season for Dutchtown. He’s physical at the line of scrimmage and brings a lengthy frame that allows him to break away passes. He also knows how to run with receivers down the field and play the ball in the air. He’s tough to create separation from and knows how to come up and make a big tackle against the run. He made 23 tackles last year, while breaking up nine passes and intercepting three more in coverage. He’s one of the top returning defensive backs in the region and shows easy D1 talent and Power Four potential if he continues to improve over the next several months and into his junior year this fall.

soon, who already has FBS offers to his name. He is listed at 6’1 150 with another 3 and a half years of physical maturity left in the tank. Ivey has long strides and fluid hips, allowing him to effortlessly open up and run stride for stride with receivers down the sideline. He stays attached on the hip and is sticky in coverage, proving difficult to separate against. He uses his length to work through the hands of WRs and punch at the football. He leverages elite man coverage skills with length and physical upside. He is already one of the premier 2028 DBs in Georgia and is only going to get better.

has been a mainstay on the Georgia Future Stars roster throughout his middle school career, making it as a sixth-grader in 2022, seventh-grader in 2023 and now again, as an eighth-grader in 2024. Ivey doesn’t have to prove another thing on the middle school level, as he already holds a verbal offer from Arkansas, but he competes every single play. The personification of effort, last year during practices leading up to the Future Stars Game(s), he was blowing people up on scout special teams and making effort plays that really impressed me. He could have easily taken the play off, but he went to work.

is yet another Georgia 2028 early offerree from Arkansas and #WPS Nation. I became an instant fan of this last June at the Future Stars Game practices. Just a seventh-grader then, the kid was all out hustle and effort throughout practices. It’s nice to see effort rewarded early.
