A speedy linebacker who shoots the gaps and can create consistent chaos in the backfield, Shannons Jr was one of the region’s top pass-rushers for Alexander, and now this fast-rising outside linebacker will take his pass-rushing talents to Douglas County. One of the top returning pass-rushers west of Atlanta, Shannon was terrific in 2025 where he made 70 tackles, 10 TFLs, eight sacks, and two pass-breakups in coverage. He runs well, wraps up properly, and is hoping to lead the Tigers to a special 2026 season this fall on defense.

Shannon, perhaps quietly, is a top returner for Douglas County and has a chance to be even more disruptive and productive as a senior. He was a productive, active player last fall for Alexander with the speed and athleticism to play off the ball and pursue, but the size to slide down and rush the passer, especially when you factor in his future weight. Shannon grades out with truly elite speed at his size, paired with a motor that runs hot. There is real speed to power potential. I will be watching him closely this fall to see how he handles contac.t
