Austin is ready to take the next step as he prepares for his first varsity season, and it will be exciting to see what he can bring to the tight end position. He has the opportunity to showcase his abilities against stronger competition while continuing to grow his game. With his skill set and willingness to contribute in multiple areas, Austin has the chance to make an impact and prove he belongs on the field. This season will be a great opportunity for him to gain experience, develop his game, and start building his name.

Choate delivered a standout performance in Lubbock and left with an offer from the Red Raiders staff. At 6-foot-5, he has a large catch radius but what most is impressive is his quickness and explosiveness off the ball. Austin is a smooth route runner who has superb hands and his clean footwork off the line of scrimmage enabled him to win reps consistently.

While Choate has yet to play a down in a high school game, he has the traits that jump out immediately when he lines up. He has the skill set to flex out and play out in space at wideout or line up as a traditional inline tight end. Texas offered Austin recently this offseason and now the Red Raiders have identified him as one of the top 2030 prospects in Texas.
