Sims is a problem in the trenches. He is a disruptive force who has an explosive first step and his ability to collapse the pocket allows him to get penetration. Jordyn has great lateral quickness combined with nimble feet and he closes on ball carriers with violent intentions. Sims took snaps during his freshman season at running back. He showed great balance, he ran with power and he was a nightmare for defenders. His speed and agility was on full display. Sims breaks tackles at the second level and made defensives pay for stepping up to stop the run. He is a freakish athlete who had a great showing in Lubbock at their most recent camp and he left with an offer. Sims is one the top 2029 players in the state, with offers from Houston, UTEP, Texas A&M, SMU, TCU and Mississippi State to name a few.
