Top 8 OL in Wake County

We're continuing our county deep dives series by finishing the offensive side of the ball with one of my favorite positions to evaluate. Unlike most of the other positions, there aren't a lot of statistical leaderboards for the big boys up front. We get this list the old-fashioned way: deep dives into the film, breaking down the best players in the county purely based on their abilities and what they put on tape. Here are the top eight offensive linemen in Wake County.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Best Offensive Linemen in Wake County</h2>   Editor's Note: The ranked wide receivers are listed in order from first to eighth. Other names are in no particular order. Rankings reflect a combination of 2025 production and predicted 2026 impact. That means this is not a ranking of college potential, but of current high school impact. His athleticism at 300-plus pounds is impressive, as big guys shouldn't move like that. He wasn't just performing against overmatched opponents, as his tape against some of the best edge rushers in the state stands out.     Primarily a tackle for Southeast Raleigh, I think Williams could slide inside at the next level. That's a compliment, as I love his toughness and physicality as a run blocker. There's a lot of untapped potential in his profile, and if he continues to make consistent strides, he's going to end up one of the top players in the 2028 class.     Offor has FBS size, strength, and quickness, and he began to put it all together last season. His more consistent junior tape has me excited to watch him as a senior. With prototypical measurables, it was always a matter of putting it all together on the field. Offor's footwork was noticeably better on his junior tape, which has helped him stay more consistently balanced.     Han is one of my favorite players in the state, relative to his current recruiting interest. He's a talented, multi-faceted lineman who can down block, pull, and pass block with few holes in his game. Due to his relative lack of length, he'll move inside from his right tackle position in college, but his ability to reach on blocks in the running game and pull (he excels on counters) means the transition should be smooth.     In terms of importance to his team, few offensive linemen in the state are as underrated as Petrovich. Not only did he help set protections last season, but Middle Creek's offense was largely designed around plays that simply wouldn't work if Petrovich was on the sidelines. He has several reach blocks on tape that the average center wouldn't come close to finishing. A lot of Middle Creek's running game is made possible by his athleticism and lateral movement.     We didn't get the chance to dive into Jaynes' film until recently, and we loved what we saw. He's a bit undersized, but maintains excellent leverage and balance, which allows him to stonewall bigger defenders as a pass blocker. He can play center, but did most of his best work at left guard     Nelson is massive, and it shows. But he also moves well, and I think that surprises a lot of edge defenders, who don't think he should be able to lock on so quickly. The strength is evident, but the footwork is much improved, and he continues to show he's more than a big body at the right tackle position.     Some players take years to go from intriguing, high-upside prospects to successful players, but Daniels took about six games. He earned the trust of the coaching staff early and his late-season film is noticeably improved from early in the year.
