Primarily a tackle for Southeast Raleigh, I think Williams could slide inside at the next level. That’s a compliment, as I love his toughness and physicality as a run blocker. There’s a lot of untapped potential in his profile, and if he continues to make consistent strides, he’s going to end up one of the top players in the 2028 class.

Williams is the guy in an elite tackle class. We had him in our top 10 even before the offers started rolling in, but even we were impressed with the winter that he had. Once he got his first big offer, the big guns started taking aim as SEC and Big Ten schools have stepped in with offers. He’s big, nasty, and disciplined, with elite upside to play at any of the nation’s best schools.

Williams has the early attention of schools across the country thanks to huge potential and strong early returns as a freshman starter at left tackle. He’s currently a better run blocker than pass blocker thanks to insane power and very refined technique. He has good pad level and can blow defenders off the line. He flashes as a down blocker and puller, and those are areas he can continue to grow in. As he develops as a pass-blocker, he’ll get better and better.

Another future national recruit, Williams has already garnered the attention of some of the nation’s elite schools, earning several offers from Big Ten and SEC squads. He plays several positions and his physicality stands out at each of them. If we had to project, we think he’s a college left tackle, given his length and footwork, but he has the brute strength to flex inside as well.

Playing left tackle on varsity as a freshman is almost unheard of, but when you do it at the level Grayson did on his highlight film, it stands to reason why he has multiple early offers from Power 4 schools. Currently, Grayson has offers from Troy, Bethune-Cookman, Appalachian State, Ohio State, Maryland, Florida State, NC State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina, Penn State, Liberty, and Syracuse. Grayson is a strong run blocker who finishes blocks to the echo of the whistle. Grayson is aggressive on long pulls, and does it with good technique, finishing 2nd level defenders consistently. By the time we do our next update in our rankings, it would not surprise me to see Grayson as the #1 offensive lineman overall.

– It’s very, extremely, way too early, but at this point, Williams is my favorite offensive linemen in the Carolinas. Very likable kid with the athletic talent to back it up at 6-foot-3 and 260-pounds. Shows no signs of his growth plateauing and has an older brother that is 6-foot-8
– I have seen him play live a lot over the last calendar year and each time I come away impressed. He’s a humble kid that knows he has a bright future if he continues to work hard. Tremendous frame and would start varsity at most high school’s in the country right now as an eighth-grader
– For a big young man, Williams is super athletic too. This past June, he was covering a punt during Future Stars, and I saw him chase down a punt returner from across the field to make a tackle. More recently, lined up at running back for his 919 Chiefs team and ran 60 yards for a touchdown. Also a menace on the basketball court as a Center/Power Forward
