Will Helms | Prep Redzone Scout
Stanley’s off to a fantastic start to his senior season, with three interceptions in his last two games. He plays longer than his frame, and he’s an aggressive corner. He’ll frequently jump routes and make quarterbacks pay on throws to the boundary. While that’s where he’s most comfortable, he’s also flashed as a safety and can play multiple positions in the secondary.

Stanley’s ball production was at the top of most of the leaderboards last year. He picked off five passes and forced at least a dozen incompletions. A versatile defender, he’s at his best when he can play a middle-of-the-field role and make plays on the ball in zone coverage.

Few defensive backs across the state have had the impact in the passing game that Stanley has for Southeast Raleigh. In recent years, the Bulldogs have had the horses on the defensive line to compete, but have been let down on the back end. That’s not the case anymore. He has four picks, and his Southeast Raleigh defense allowed less than 50 passing yards to the high-octane Cleveland passing offense.
