Despite being under six feet (at this moment, he’s still growing) Saunders is one of the high-pointers of the football in the class. His explosive athleticism (broad jump, vertical, etc.) is off the charts and he and Southeast Raleigh are able to use that. He’s more quick than fast, but has good footwork and is able to use that to both create separation and make people miss after the catch. I’d like to see a bit more variety in his release package, but this early in the cycle, it’s clear he has the ability to be a top receiver in the class.

Saunders is one of the best 2027 receivers you probably haven’t heard of. A multi-sport athlete, Saunders is excellent in both the long jump and 200 meters and those skills translate to the field. He excels with the ball in the air and is improving as a route runner, a skill he should display this fall as a sophomore.
