Next Level Athletes, MN Air Raid, MN GoGetIt Scrimmage Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past Saturday, <em>PrepRedzoneMN</em> made our way to Lakeville and the terrific TCO Dome at<em> Lakeville North</em> for some good ol' fashioned offseason 7v7 action. In this tri-team exhibition scrimmage, <em>PRZMN</em> got an in-depth look at two squads we are very familiar with, <em>Next</em> <em>Level Athletes</em> and <em>MN Go Get It</em>, as well as Minnesota's newest 7v7 program: <em>MN Air Raid</em>. Based out of the 507, <em>MN Air Raid</em> is already making some serious noise on the offseason on the 7v7 trail, so this was a weekend event we did not want to miss. The lefty gunslinger is a dynamic dual-threater who passed for 1,200+ yards and addd 1,153 yards on the ground against 6A competition, and he came out hot with <em>Next Level Athletes</em> to open this tri-team Saturday tourney, scoring a TD for his squad while showing off accuracy and timing as a passer. Throughout his day of work, things were up and down accuracy-wise, which attests to his 54% completion rate and 8 TD to 7 INT ratio from the 2025. However, he flashed some great reps that needed him to fit the pigskin into tight windows around the middle of the field, and he can get the ball out quickly and with noticeable velocity to boot. Not sold on him playing QB at the next level, but he has some serious athleticism in his game that will hopefully be highlighted during the Summer Camp Circuit, as well as a good build that already shows some wiry muscle definition and significant room to fill in. ATH. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">The younger brother of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='592136' first='Carter' last='Mayer']</strong>, a University of Jamestown DII-bound linebacker in <em>Lakeville South's</em> 2026 class, was a very fun watch on Saturday afternoon in his hometown of Lakeville. <strong>Mayer</strong> was arguably the best defensive back/defensive player in attendance at the tri-team exhibition, showing off some excellent quickness and serious instincts on a beautiful undercut of a 2pt-conversion attempt late into competition, maybe the best defensive play of the day. <strong>Mayer</strong> was naturally and effectively undercutting wideouts all afternoon long, and he also showed off some offensive juice on a great TD catch on a corner route. ATH. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">What a potential breakout star <em>Lakeville South</em> has on its hands in junior athlete <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2075300' first='Jeremiah' last='Lebbi'].</strong> Stuck in a crowded <em>Cougars</em> backfield during the 2025 season, <strong>Lebbi</strong> didn't properly highlight his outstanding track &amp; field times and overall speed that include a PR of 11.06 in the 100M and 22.94 in the 200M, but he still managed to pop off 15 returns for 386 yards and 1 TD and 43 rushes for 188 yards and 2 TDs (4.4 YPC) during his junior season in Class 6A football. <strong>Lebbi</strong> passed the always-important Eye Test with flying colors, owning a physique that you couldn't miss if you tried and possessing a particularly defined lower body that contained serious explosiveness in a 7v7 and camp setting. I was talking to <em>MNHSFBNetwork</em> - who was there filming the event - and he said <strong>Lebbi</strong> has been tearing it up this 7v7 season, which I totally believe given <em>MN Air Raid's</em> efficient offense. <strong>Lebbi</strong> showed off excellent deep speed that could easily beat and stack DBs in off-man coverage, and he also showed a great catch on a quick catch in the MOF through traffic and with a lot of potential distractions that resulted in a 2pt conversion for his 7v7 squad. The tallest athlete on <em>NLA</em>, I'd bet he's measuring in at or near the 6'3 range, and he stood out (in a good way) thanks to his pajama pants that were a nice comfy contrast to the violence he putting out on the turf against opposing DBs. <strong>Assibu</strong> had one of the plays of the day, breaking the absolute mess out of an <em>MN Air Raid </em>DB's ankles after the catch, near the goal line, and in the open field, impressively highlighting his twitch and elusiveness, and he was also a polished route runner who scored on a smooth slant around the goal line against 18U competition. DB. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long-time familiar face in Minnesota's 7v7 circuit, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='607918' first='Knox' last='Andrus']</strong> is running with <em>Next Level Athletes </em>and really dominating at the cornerback position, a feat that can't be underestimated due to the offensive-minded strategies of 7v7 competition. <strong>Andrus</strong> was very much in contention for the best player of the entire tri-team exhibition tourney, ending the day with some incredibly-impressive plays on the football from his CB spot. A wild one-handed INT where the sophomore floated through the air and aggressively stuck the pigskin into the palm really embodied his day of work and overall skillset well, and he also made a great PBU on the ball wherein the CB floated through the air to showcase some serious vertical ability on the perimeter of the defense. This kid single-handedly had the opposition shook. With a great frame that includes long arms that aid his impressive catch radius, <strong>Reynolds</strong>' was putting in serious work in the middle of the field and particularly around the hook/curl zone, slipping perfectly inbetween defensive drops and plucking the ball out of the air in secure fashion to keep his offense moving. Also showed off some quick feet and a nice release in a TD around the redzone of the TCO Dome at <em>Lakeville North</em>. Noticeably bouncy, twitchy in and out of his breaks, and can really drop his hips when working to separate against man coverage. A 50/50 ball standout who was impressive in the air, <strong>Joyce</strong> had a great TD catch in the back left corner of the endzone that highlighted his high-point ability well, and he had another huge gain on a deep out later into competition. Physical, well-rounded, and exciting skillset that has a lot of good football left ahead of him, especially with his 6'2, 190 lb. frame thrown in the mix. QB. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Rosemount's</em> backup QB in 2025, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1294136' first='Will' last='Brookins']</strong> has a great frame for a pocket-passer and really knew how to use it, clocking in with an overall strong day of work with his <em>MN Air Raid</em> 7v7 squad. <strong>Brookins</strong> throws a good ball that flashed some noticeable arm strength and accuracy throughout the tri-team exhibition, and <strong>Brookins</strong> also showed off the best touch of any QB in attendance. The play had the whole Dome gasping, and Emery also showed off some strong hands and impressive body control on a nice 2pt conversion catch later into the game.
