Still Available: Top 2026 Georgia Quarterbacks, Part I

The transfer portal is running wild, which has unfortunately slammed the door on a lot of talented 2026 prospects. In Georgia specifically, there are a wide number of capable HS QBs still available and capable of playing across all levels. Big schools, small schools, winners, rare traits, it's all in this list.    41-2 HS record and a two-time state champion as a starter. Big, physical player who is a difference maker with his legs. Athletic, can create his own yards. A threat to run through you as well. Easy-going passer with fine arm strength for D1 level. A true gamer who has played big boy football and has a high floor given his legs.     Multi-year starter. High-profile baseball talent, could be a baseball guy long-term. Big-time arm talent, can sniff each level of the field. 90+ MPH coming off the mound. Has room to get better as his mechanics refine and tighten. Have always liked the potential here.     Moore admittedly flew under my radar in his career, but after a watch, he is absolutely worthy of a mention here. Moore is a strong, dual-threat QB with some gunslinger to him. He is not afraid to gamble on the big play, and has the arm to make those throws. He looks dialed in on trajectory as well. He is an explosive runner in space who can tack on yards. Moore has D1 tools and has flown way under the radar.     Holtzclaw was one part of a successful two-QB system at Carrollton this past year. He is a dynamic size/speed threat, making most of his impact as a runner. He moves well for a big guy, quickly cutting through space. He is big enough to finish runs violently, too. He has a strong arm and has evidence of hard throws on tape. He will hold onto the ball a tick longer and take on contact if it means a receiver gets open. Holtzclaw is the most prototypical QB on this list.     Big lefties are always intriguing, and that's exactly what Cheney is. He is long, thin, and should only get bigger. He has plenty of horsepower and life behind the ball and has an elastic enough arm to work on the move and off platform. He isn't a shabby athlete and can make big plays when things get off script. A really fun watch here.     Seaman has played well under the radar and is one of the most D1 projectable players on this list. He is built strong into his frame, running behind and generating plenty of horsepower on his strong 6'1 205 body. Really clean, tight mechanics. A drive ball thrower and a D1 arm talent.     Sharpe transferred into Jonesboro and gave them much-needed good QB play. Sharpe is a tall, thin, big-armed QB with plenty of potential. Long, whippy mechanics with the ability to boom the ball. Plays tough as a runner, fast enough to move the chains. There is certainly D1 caliber upside here.     Massive fan of this kid. Well-built 6'2 180 with room to get bigger. Baseball background, and it shows on tape with his ability to work off-platform and on the move. Kid can drive the ball effortlessly, knifing it through space and quickly getting it on open receivers. Good athlete with long strides in space. Incredibly underrated.     3-year starter at a high level of ball in GA with growth shown year to year. Size at 5'10 185 has restricted major recruiting buzz, but he has compensated. Efficient passer both in and out of the pocket, but he really flashes when things get off-script. A scrappy runner who can redirect plays, keep things alive, and generate wow plays under duress.     QB'd one of the most dominant teams in GAHSFB history as a senior. Undersized dual-threat QB. Plays calmly within the pocket and gives his guys a chance down the field. Soft touch on the ball. A dangerous runner with long strides in space. Will go to college as a winner.     Lean, thin athlete with a lot of room to add mass. Loose athlete who can create in space when the play breaks down. Good arm strength, but his quick release is what stands out to me and squeezes the most out of his arm strength. Benson has started 4 years at a high level of ball, and it's hard to see him not getting a shot in college.     Stout, explosive frame who has played several positions in his career. Marked improvement at each exposure as a passer. Has the arm that can challenge D1 signees in the state when he is on. A capable athlete who can create in space and move the chains. Late bloomer player who should get a shot to prove himself.
