Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
QB’d one of the most dominant teams in GAHSFB history as a senior. Undersized dual-threat QB. Plays calmly within the pocket and gives his guys a chance down the field. Soft touch on the ball. A dangerous runner with long strides in space. Will go to college as a winner.

Still Doesn’t Get His Due Respect
If there’s one player on the Creekside roster who embodies both dominance and leadership, it’s senior quarterback

— yet he doesn’t always get the acclaim he deserves when people talk about Georgia’s elite QBs. That needs to change.
A Season of Production That Demands Respect
All season long; Benson has been at the center of Creekside’s explosive offensive identity. During the 2025 regular season, he put up remarkable numbers:
- 2,680 passing yards with 37 touchdown passes
- 372 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns
These totals show he’s not just managing Creekside’s offense — he’s fueling it.
State Title Game: Big Stage, Big Moments
When everything was on the line in the GHSA Class 4A state championship game, Benson delivered again:
- 161 passing yards and a touchdown
- **133 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns
- Accounted for over 300 yards of total offense in arguably the biggest game of his high school career.
He was instrumental in Creekside’s 42–39 comeback win over Benedictine to secure the state title and finish the season 15–0 — breaking records and reinforcing his status as a complete quarterback.
So Why Doesn’t He Get More Respect?
Despite these elite numbers and clutch performances:
- National and state conversations still spotlight other QBs while Benson flies under the radar.
- His dual-threat ability a premier passer and dangerous runner often gets overshadowed by sheer offensive talent around him.
But you don’t have to squint at his resume to see what he’s accomplished. Benson’s leadership, production, and state championship performance should have him talked about among the best quarterbacks in Georgia if not the outright top this season.

— Quarterback | Field General
Benson has been the steady hand guiding Creekside’s explosive offense.
- High completion percentage (134% QBR rating)
- Efficient touchdown-to-interception ratio (37 TDs/ 5 INTs)
- Multiple multi-TD performances and passing over 2600 yds through the air right now. This kid will probably end the season with over 3000 passing yards.
He doesn’t force the game — he controls it. Benson spreads the ball, protects possessions, and consistently puts his playmakers in position to succeed.

Benson is a big-play quarterback in his senior season, who has a lot of key traits. He is someone who can float a ball over the defensive backs in a fluid motion. He has shown that he can generate enough power on a simple step back that he has an arm that can change the outcome of a game. He has some solid accuracy around him. His best trait, in my book, is his execution. He goes out there and executes the way that his coaches want him to. Benson is a bit undersized, which has been his biggest issue, but he is someone who makes the most of what he can control, which is exactly why he is inside the top 30 (state) in passing yards at this moment. Would like to see him continue to take steps forward with his mobility and pocket awareness. He is a guy who will absolutely get better over time.

Benson is playing some of the best ball at the QB position this fall. He is a smaller, but athletic prospect with a quick release and the ability to touch each level of the field. I love the timing and precision he plays with. He puts good touch on the ball, can drive it into the intermediate areas, and gives his receivers an opportunity to run after the catch. I am definitely a fan of the gamesmanship Benson plays with.

One of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the Atlanta area, Benson is an accurate passer with poise, impressive ball-placement, and natural leadership skills. He shows command of the pocket and knows how to deliver a strong, accurate ball down the field. He’s also an effective runner who can create big plays with his legs. He’s lighting up the stat sheet right now as a senior as he’s passed for 1,596 yards and 20 touchdowns through the air. On the ground, the playmaking quarterback has run for just under 200 yards and seven touchdowns. More importantly, Benson has Creekside an undefeated 7-0 with hopes of a state championship this winter. His biggest game so far this season came against Pace Academy where he threw for 454 yards and six touchdowns during a big 55-0 win.

of Creekside, battling back from a 21-0 deficit removed calm, poised and a true leader. Leading his team to a jaw dropping victory, Benson delivered a balanced and electric performance. Benson threw for 92 yards through the air while adding 110 rushing yards on the ground, finishing the game with 4 total touchdowns. His ability to extend plays and keep defenses guessing made him nearly impossible to contain. Whether through the air or on the ground, Benson continues to show why he’s one of the most dynamic offensive weapons in the state.

Some quarterbacks can sling it with precision, others can torch defenses with their legs—but few can do both at an elite level. That’s what makes

so special. Cayden is coming off a monster season with 2,395 passing yards, 30 touchdowns through the air, 1,085 rushing yards, and 12 rushing scores, he’s proven he’s one of the most dangerous dual-threat quarterbacks in the country.
His dominance earned him recognition as a Georgia Junior Peach Award Player of the Year finalist, 4A Region 4 Offensive Player of the Year, and All-State honors from both GPB Sports and the AJC. But if you ask him, he’s far from satisfied. He’s been putting in the work, transforming his body and sharpening his game, proving to recruiters that he’s ready for the next level.
What separates good quarterbacks from great ones is their ability to stay calm under pressure, process the defense, and deliver the ball with confidence. He’s mastered that. His pocket presence is advanced beyond his years, effortlessly stepping up to avoid pressure while keeping his eyes downfield. Defenses that bring the blitz quickly regret it—he can escape, reset, and fire a strike with pinpoint accuracy.
Cayden’s throwing mechanics are clean and effortless, generating power while maintaining touch when needed. Whether he’s driving the ball on deep outs, hitting a receiver in stride on a post, or dropping a perfectly placed fade into the corner of the end zone, his arm talent speaks for itself. He can make every throw on the field, and he does it with a natural confidence that elite QBs possess.
While Cayden’s arm is dangerous, his ability to take over a game with his legs makes him a nightmare for defenses. He’s not just a scrambling quarterback—he’s a true playmaker with the ball in his hands. His running style is a unique blend of speed, power, and elusiveness, allowing him to shake off defenders, burst through open lanes, and extend plays when everything breaks down.
Unlike some mobile QBs who rely on their legs too early, he’s patient—he reads the field, exhausts his progressions, and only takes off when the play demands it. When he does tuck and run, he attacks defenders with physicality and speed, turning routine scrambles into game-changing plays.
This offseason, he’s transformed his body in the weight room, adding strength and durability to handle the physical demands of the position. The extra work has made his throws even stronger, his movement in the pocket sharper, and his ability to break tackles more dangerous. He’s fully committed to elevating his game, and the results are already showing.
With his elite arm, high football IQ, and unmatched athleticism, there’s no question he’s ready to take his game to the next level. Recruiters need to take notice now—because this quarterback is on the verge of something special.
