Big lefties are always intriguing, and that’s exactly what Cheney is. He is long, thin, and should only get bigger. He has plenty of horsepower and life behind the ball and has an elastic enough arm to work on the move and off platform. He isn’t a shabby athlete and can make big plays when things get off script. A sleeper Middle Georgia quarterback flying under the radar, Cheney is a big quarterback with impressive athleticism and a live arm. The ball zips out of his hands and he’s shown the ability to make plays outside of the pocket. He has one of the strongest arms in the area and has no problem slinging the ball accurately down the field. He’s thrown for 1,228 yards and 12 touchdowns this season while adding two more touchdowns on the ground. More importantly, he’s led his team to an impressive 6-1 record. He’s a big-time passer with the potential to end his senior season in a big way over the next few weeks.
