Class AA

#4 Lancaster @ #1 Bennett

Bennett was on fire all game, flying all over the ball as they took a 38-0 halftime lead. Lancaster QB [player_tooltip player_id='1719800' first='Matthew' last='King'] would fight back throwing for a TD then rushing for another but the Tigers rushing game was too much to over come as their RBs found the endzone 7 times; Connolly Cup hopeful [player_tooltip player_id='747256' first='Jimmy' last='Valentine'] punched in 3 of them while a breakout start [player_tooltip player_id='1513357' first='Dontre' last='Hampton'] ran in 4 of his own; 3 in the first half. Bennett would take this one 52-13.

#3 Jamestown @ #2 Orchard Park

Orchard Park was a heavy favorite heading into the season but Jamestown, leaning on the legs of [player_tooltip player_id='1241972' first='Chase' last='Bonta'], will be heading back to the Sectional championship after their 18-13 win over the Quakers. This was a battle of two first year starting QBs in [player_tooltip player_id='1454294' first='Jackson' last='Grey'] of Jamestown and [player_tooltip player_id='939439' first='Jayden' last='Hassett'] of OP. After Hassett hit [player_tooltip player_id='1814202' first='Zack' last='Danna'] for the first score of the game, Bonta would respond with a rushing TD. The score would stay 6-6 until the 4th quarter. Chase would then scored two more times. Hassett would throw another TD to Danna with 2:19 remaining. Bonta, the Player of the game, would recover the onside kick and put this game on ice.

Section VI Championship at Highmark Stadium

Jamestown will be heading to the Sectional Championship game for the second year in a row. But this time, it will be against the Bennett Tigers; a team that has won this title 3 years in a row from 2021-2023. In their week 5 matchup, Bennett defeated Jamestown 14-7. This rematch will take place on Friday 11/14 at 8pm.

Class A

#8 Grand Island @ #4 McKinley

Grand Island entered the semifinals off of an incredible upset over #1 ranked Williamsville North. But their luck would run out in Buffalo as the McKinley Macks shutout the Vikings 22-0. [player_tooltip player_id='1238563' first='Cardel' last='Staples'] was the Player of the Game racking up 229 yards from scrimmage while scoring a rushing and receiving TD. [player_tooltip player_id='1549050' first='Jamere' last='Hill'], who was just given a Trench Trophy nomination last week had a monsterous defensive game registering 10 tackles and returning an INT for the Macks third TD. McKinley picked off the Grand Island QB 3 more times; 2 by Marcus Daniels and the other by [player_tooltip player_id='1513362' first='Tayon' last='Mullen']. QB [player_tooltip player_id='1742268' first='Kalaugn' last='Ford'] also had a big day running for over 100 yards and throwing for another 170 and a 55-yard TD to Staples.

#6 Williamsville East @ #2 Health Sciences

Health Sciences came out and scored the first three TDs of the game to a 20-0 halftime lead. Williamsville East would try and fight back as QB [player_tooltip player_id='1701685' first='Anthony' last='Martis'] would throw two touchdowns (1 to [player_tooltip player_id='1649172' first='Joe' last='Santoro'] and another to [player_tooltip player_id='1624558' first='Patrick' last='Horsmon']). But a third TD pass from Jordan Oliver to Arnette Williams in the third quarter and a 30-yard TD run from [player_tooltip player_id='1212763' first='Kaivohn' last='Pitts'] with 3:20 left in the game would all but seal it. The Flames did attempt a come back but an INT by [player_tooltip player_id='1624501' first='Alante' last='Green'] (his second of the game) would end it as the Falcons won 34-21.

Section VI Championship at Highmark Stadium

McKinley and Health Sciences will both be returning to Highmark Stadium for a Section VI championship. The difference from last season is that Health was in Class B where they defeated South Park to advance to the far west regionals. Now they are in Class A and will take on the Macks, who will look to avenge their loss to Sweet Home a year ago. This game will be Thursday 11/13 at 9pm.
