Valentine has the opportunity to be a workhorse RB in his senior season. Last season, he worked in as part of a committee but he displayed a quick burst through the line with good vision and solid change of direction. Jimmy is also an exceptional LB with good technique.

Valentine is a prospect who plays both ways, and I like some film at LB – but after the film and getting to see him live this year vs. Orchard Park, I like him as an RB prospect a little more. He will have a much more significant role at RB as a Senior being behind two Division 1 commits this season. He has a good body type, is physically defined, and looks strong on the field. He plays with a great motor and shows good physicality as a runner and in the LB position.
My evaluation of Valentine is far from complete, but he has some promising Jr stuff out there and stood out when I saw him live.

But the opportunity presented itself in Week 6 when his number was called and he ran for 157 yards and a TD on his way to his first ever Connolly Cup Player of the Week selection. is an interesting prospect going into his Junior Year. In 10 games as a Sophomore, Valentine worked behind workhorse Running Back, Terrance Pendergrass (1,443 All Purpose Yards and 21 TDs in 2023). Pendergrass is graduating this year, leaving the door open for Valentine to command the Red Raiders backfield for the next two seasons. In a complimentary role this past year, he carried the ball 52 times for 264 yards (5.1 avg) and 2 TDs. Jimmy also added 14 tackles (4 for loss) as a reserve Linebacker. Valentine is a quick and shifty runner with a low center of gravity that gives him great balance. He also posses power and an explosiveness through the offensive line when a hole opens. I am intrigued to see how this young man progresses in his Junior year.
