Our DL1 in the 2029 class [player_tooltip player_id='1738188' first='Aiden' last='Stiven'] of Devils Lake, surely looked the part in one of the first live evals we have gotten on Aiden since summer camp season. He logged in the top-tier for tackles with the defensive linemen group which is mighty impressive for just a freshmen that has his best football up ahead of him. Aiden has progressed with his hands thru contact and also is playing with more of an eye-catching motor as he's one 2029 I look forward to watching closely at our upcoming Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase.

Another Firebird trench mosnter that lit up the stat sheet in the 11AA state championship game was 2028 defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1575838' first='Grady' last='Quam']. Watching Grady throughout the season, he has gotten more intent-focused with his pass rush moves and that was the case too inside the FargoDome. He also has gained attentive vision is higher traffic areas in pass-protection which was evidently seen against Minot North last Friday night. Another area that is apparent, is Grady seems to have growing length once he penetrates in the backfield as I would love to get a number on his wingspan as it could grow his stock as a pass rusher.

One of our top defensive ends the 2027 class has to offer is [player_tooltip player_id='1113076' first='Ethan' last='Howey'] of Minot North who we got a solid live eval on in 11AA State Championsihp game. I thought the powerful hands Ethan has shown off in the last 3-6 months were at the top of the ceiling, but he surely showed otherwise against Devils Lake as the fluidness he consistent shows with getting off of blocks was even swifter. The 6'4 240 pounder is also extremely agile within his lower body as that twitch was evident especially when the Sentinels needed a stop deep in drives. I am not sure why Ethan hasn't gotten his first offer yet to be honest, as I feel we have been pounding the table and hearing a lot of good context at college camps about this young man.

It seems like in every state championship I have watched in North Dakota that Fargo Davies has been a part of, its Minnesota State-Moorhead commit [player_tooltip player_id='674709' first='Alex' last='Meece'] that constantly makes plays in the backfield. Last Friday night was no different. The top-tackler amongs the Eagles defensive front, Alex recorded 3.5 tackles and a empowering sack that we had on phone recording that brought the forceful hands, twitchy get off, and finished sack all into fruitation. I surely feel the Dragons got a great local steal with Alex as a defensive end just up the road.

Braxton is an offensive linemen in the 2026 class that I have been on since well before his recruiting got hot with schools throughout the NSIC. What did I see from one of North Dakota's top offensive line targets? I saw that the leverage that Braxton got was quick, pure, and could get into the second levlel very consistently. He's gotten even faster with his foot speed in my eyes after missing last season which is a great sign. Out of the offensive linemen from the Patriots I was able to grade in the 11AAA state championship game, Braxton surely would be in my top-tier.

If you followed our content around Midwest camps this summer, you probably heard a lot about [player_tooltip player_id='1292610' first='Peyton' last='Seil'] of Bismarck Century in the 2027 class, cause like the Johnny Cash song, he was "everywhere, man" What did we saw from the rising 2027 offensive linemen in the 11AAA state championship game? I certainly liked the growth I saw from Peyton in pass-protection as the 6'6 285 pound big man only had one sack against him all season long on the Patriots offensive line. Another skillset I saw growth from Peyton aligns with his length. Obviously with that size Peyton has a long wingspan, but I felt his striking ability generated more strength than what I saw over the summer, which was another bright spot in his climbing ceiling. He has a great chance to drop into our OL1 conversation for his play this fall in the ND 2027 class.

Gus is surely the meat-grinder in the Fargo Davies offensive trenches that makes their destructive Wing-T offense work to near perfection like it did against Bismarck Century in the 11AAA State Championship game. The now 6'2 270 pounder, is a pull blocker that when the Eagles rushing attack gets outside, Gus is usually the first man up in front of him and generates the downhilll violence with great pad-level as well. I also love Gus's first step as a defensive tackle as it has to be one of the faster steps we have in this North Dakota 2026 class at that positon. He took home the Player of the Year for 11AAA for a reason, just watch tape the tape!
