One of our top defensive ends the 2027 class has to offer is

of Minot North who we got a solid live eval on in 11AA State Championsihp game. I thought the powerful hands Ethan has shown off in the last 3-6 months were at the top of the ceiling, but he surely showed otherwise against Devils Lake as the fluidness he consistent shows with getting off of blocks was even swifter. The 6’4 240 pounder is also extremely agile within his lower body as that twitch was evident especially when the Sentinels needed a stop deep in drives. I am not sure why Ethan hasn’t gotten his first offer yet to be honest, as I feel we have been pounding the table and hearing a lot of good context at college camps about this young man.

In Week 1 against Williston it was evident that the Coyotes did not have an answer for Minot North 2027 defensive end

. Ethan showed how light he was with his hands getting off blocks which is consistently seen in the reps we watched from last Friday. You can tell he has taken a step up with his agility and fluidness off the snap as even since watching this summer at camps, Ethan has also amped up his football IQ from my eyes getting to the point of attack with smoother short area vision. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, Ethan is going to be the first Division I prospect to come out of Minot North and is an early offer in this 2027 ND class.

Ethan is another 2027 target that proved he was due for a rise at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase this winter, rising up as our DL MVP in Aberdeen. Moving from #6 to #4 in our top 10, Ethan’s very instinctive hands and his plethora of moves, were noticable for me from the other end of the showcase this winter, which is impressive being that we had 140+ prospects in attendance. The 6’4 230 pounder from Minot North, put together some intriguing tape on both sides of the trenches and shows off all the agile movement you want to see at the next-level. On either side of the ball he has vicious hands, and moves more like a tight end when out in space as a pull blocker. The same can be said as an EDGE rusher for Ethan, as Ethan moves like a linebacker getting out of the inside box to run down a ball carrier. Ethan ran an impressive 4.69 40 yard dash at the UND Flagship camp last winter and although I cannot recall his numbers that showed off his change of direction, I remember them being great for his position in Grand Forks. Ethan was one of the biggest risers in this top 10 in the last several months in my eyes in one that could be the first Division I target for Minot North.
