Gus is surely the meat-grinder in the Fargo Davies offensive trenches that makes their destructive Wing-T offense work to near perfection like it did against Bismarck Century in the 11AAA State Championship game. The now 6’2 270 pounder, is a pull blocker that when the Eagles rushing attack gets outside, Gus is usually the first man up in front of him and generates the downhilll violence with great pad-level as well. I also love Gus’s first step as a defensive tackle as it has to be one of the faster steps we have in this North Dakota 2026 class at that positon. He took home the Player of the Year for 11AAA for a reason, just watch tape the tape!

Gus is another one I have a rising grade on with this 2026 North Dakota class. The 6’1 250 pounder from Fargo Davies, is one of the most athletic offensive linemen we have in this class and he moves extremely well on tape for his size and can certainly get into the second level. When I say Gus crunches defenders at the point of attack I mean it, as he shows off excellent pad-level and technique especially with his athletic movement he shows off getting downhill. With a 4.0 GPA, a track and field athlete, and plenty of good football skillsets, Gus will be one that will be hot name in the NSIC this summer upcoming.

For my Stockrisers MVP in the North Dakota 2026 rankings, you have to look at Fargo Davies offensive linemen Gus Werremeyer Gus Werremeyer 6'1" | 250 lbs | OL Fargo Davies | 2026 State ND , who went from our watch list to inside our top 20, as his film was fantastic in 2023. Gus has an extremely fiery first step off the snap and is one of the best offensive linemen in the Dakotas as far as his angle blocking goes as he shows to be extremely effective on a persistent basis. The efficency Gus has with his quick and efficent footwork with his pull-blocking shows off easily a offensive guard target that you go outside the measurables for as Gus by far is my favorite slightly undersized offensive linemen in the entire Dakotas.
