Red Bank Catholic (6-0) at Rumson-Fair Haven (4-1)

For Red Bank Catholic, their unprecedented run with a freshman quarterback and running back will get their toughest test yet, as they travel to Rumson-Fair Haven to take on the reigning Group II champion Bulldogs. For the Bulldogs, their only split up was against a hot Holmdel team as they look to continue their stretch of shore dominance by clipping their area's best non-public school.

For as great as the duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1016186' first='Rahmir' last='Rivera'] and [player_tooltip player_id='409942' first='Gabe' last='Kemp'] have been, the Caseys have two outstanding receivers that try to out match each other at every turn. [player_tooltip player_id='1524374' first='Daniel' last='Zabora'] represents the senior leadership on the team. Leading the team in receiving yards (452) and touchdowns (5), he sets the tone an upholds the standard for youngster [player_tooltip player_id='991953' first='Jason' last='Berecsky']. Berecsky has matched Zabora's reception output of 26, but has 337 yards and 3 scores. Zabora is also a key component on defense as he leqds the team with 3 interceptions and ranks amongst the leaders with 40 stops (23 solo). Berecsky has made 24 tackles. Their most productive defender has been junior [player_tooltip player_id='1939701' first='Luke' last='Scaturro']. Scaturro leads the way with 62 tackles (33 solo), but has been awfully disruptive on his way to making several havoc plays. Scaturro has 9 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and a pick-six to his name.

For some time now, [player_tooltip player_id='1524371' first='Ben' last='Gredell'] has been a disruptive force, both early and often, for the Bulldogs front. As Grendell is well into his junior season, his production has only spiked. On the season, the two-way lineman has made 29 tackles, which is good for second on the team, but leads the way with 9 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Additionally, Gredell has forced a fumble. Offensively, there seems to be some competition afoot between junior [player_tooltip player_id='1882874' first='Casey' last='Moore'] (30-60, 428 yards, 5 TD, 5 Int, 22 rush yards, 2 TD) and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1939703' first='Brady' last='Williams'] (18-40, 210, 6 TD, 78 rushing yards, 3 TD); however, whoever is calling the cadence knows they can rely on [player_tooltip player_id='1939707' first='Chris' last='Economou'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1939708' first='Cole' last='Spoonire'] to make plays for them. Starting with the senior Economou, he has been their big play vertical threat as he has turned 12 receptions into 244 yards and 3 touchdowns. On the contrary, Spoonire has been a quality possession piece, yielding 138 yards and 2 scores on a team-leading 16 catches.

Jackson Township (2-4) at Toms River North (2-4)

In what is sure to be a pivotal game for both squads, the newly unified Jackson Township squad heads to Toms River to take on the 3-peating Group V champion Mariners. For the Mariners, they currently sit as the #14 seed South V and have the Jaguars looking up from the #19 slot. Knowing that only the top 16 teams get in, this game could go a long way to make-or-break either team's playoff prospects.

Having already checked out Jackson and how they strongly prefer to move the ball on the ground, we take a closer look at their defense. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='1543929' first='Matt' last='Howard'] has had a very productive season. Howard is vying for the team lead in tackles with 38 (16 solo), but leads the way with 4 sacks and has also made 4 stops behind the line. [player_tooltip player_id='1514626' first='Jio' last='Kabiri'] is a productive back and matches that production on defense, but today we highlight his brother [player_tooltip player_id='1655788' first='Ajay' last='Kabiri']. The duo lead the team in tackles for loss with 7, but Kabiri has made 27 tackles (17 solo), forced a fumble and recovered a team-leading 2 fumbles. Lastly, [player_tooltip player_id='1939710' first='Tucker' last='Pazinko'] cleans up everything in front of him as he paces the team with 44 tackles (21 solo), 4 tackles of which have been for a loss.

Unfortunately for Toms River North they do not have any statistical or roster information updated since week zero on August 28, 2025.

Red Bank Regional (4-1) at Manasquan (4-1)

In an interesting matchup, Group IV's Red Bank Regional travels to take on Group II Manasquan in a game that has playoff implications for both. Manasquan, who currently sits at #9 in South II, is certainly to ensure a home playoff game with a victory; whereas Red Bank Regional is vying for the #2 seed in all of South IV.

Having highlighted him before, he is certainly worth highlighting again. [player_tooltip player_id='1524375' first='Jah'Mir' last='Lane-Bailey'] is playing like a man amongst boys this season. Defensively, he has really been freed up to play fast and loose, while yielding high production. The senior prospect leads the team in: tackles, 42; forced fumbles, 5; fumble recoveries, 2; and sacks, 6. Additionally, he has made 7 tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Whatever plays Lane-Bailey does not make, the attention he causes frees up [player_tooltip player_id='1939721' first='Bennett' last='Lopez'] to add to his highlight take. Lopez is the team leader in tackles for loss with 10 and fumble recoveries with 2, but is right on Lane-Bailey's heels with 5 sacks of his own. Additionally, he has made 30 stops of his own.

Lopez and Lane-Bailey better strap up because if there is one thing, and one thing only, that Manasquan wishes to do it is run the ball. To put this into perspective, Manasquan has thrown the ball only 41 times; whereas comparatively speaking, they have run the ball 172 times - nearly 4 times more. Additionally, they spread the ball around with an incredible 15 different players getting a carry on the season. We know their ace out of the backfield, [player_tooltip player_id='1524395' first='Ace' last='Etienne'], but they can play some defense as well. In a similar fashion to their approach to spreading offensive reps, Manasquan gets a lot of defenders in the game. [player_tooltip player_id='1894298' first='Nick' last='Loughrey'] is a two-way lineman who has stood out. Loughrey is actually tied with teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1903801' first='Luke' last='Barry'] with a team-leading 23 tackles (13 solo); however, like any linemen worth his weight, Loughrey leads the way with 9 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. for Barry, he has made 8 solo stops and 2 behind the line, while also seizing the lead in interceptions with 2. [player_tooltip player_id='1939723' first='Gabe' last='Palmer'] is also a young, productive prospect to monitor. Palmer has made 4 tackles for loss - good for second on the team, sits second in solo tackles with 13 - making 19 total.
