Michigan's Blue Chip Junior Offensive Linemen

'Tis the season where I grind through my Junior prospect spreadsheet! Last year, I sent out a class of 2026 spreadsheet to dozens of colleges, and this year, I'm making a bigger and better class of 2027 sheet. I've only just begun diving into this offensive line class, but I absolutely know who the blue-chip guys are. Here are the five offensive linemen who will very likely be in my top 8.    I feel strongly that [player_tooltip player_id='1689097' first='Dewey' last='Young'] is the #1 Junior offensive lineman in Michigan. Like everyone on this list, Dewey has excellent size, but he backs it up with excellent strength and high-end balance. Dewey is built extremely well; he's balanced, mentally mature, and fundamentally sound. He's a similar player to [player_tooltip player_id='557747' first='Khalief' last='Canty'] or [player_tooltip player_id='568194' first='Gregory' last='Patrick']- a high-end Power 4 prospect who has a chance to play early on at any college n the country.     Louis has done an excellent job anchoring the Saline offensive line. Without a doubt the #1 best interior offensive lineman in this class. High-end size, alongside excellent fundamentals. A super well-rounded IOL who should continue developing before wearing the Maize and Blue.   Can't wait to see Louis and the rest of the Saline offense in this year's postseason. There's an incredible amount of talent and straight-up awesome teams on the D1 side this season, and a lot of people have been saying this could finally be Saline's year.     I have yet to do a deep dive on Eric's season- I plan on doing that soon.   Though I'm absolutely expecting to see a noticeable jump in production from last season.   Last offseason, I saw Eric work continuously at camps, workouts, you name it. He was pretty raw last season, but that frame is hard to beat, I could see the right mentality, and he has the coaching staff + surrounding cast to mentor and develop him into an elite offensive line prospect.   Excuse the anecdotal evidence, but I have personally seen fewer young offensive linemen regress than any other position. Sometimes, QBs, WRs, DBs, etc fail to develop, but the offensive linemen, especially at elite programs, have an amazing track record. Eric's been working, and he's 8 weeks into what's likely to be a 12+ week season. No doubt he's a blue chip prospect in this class.     Another offensive tackle who just kept on working during the offseason. Like Eric, I have not yet done a deep dive on Jack's season, but I have seen a few promising highlights. Jack's all-around pass blocking took a massive leap in the offseason, and just about the entire MAC is on notice. Even better, I know a few Power 4 schools are heavily interested, including Iowa State, who offered Jack over the summer.   MAC floor, and a high Power 4 ceiling. Blue chip guy who I expect to continue to develop in the coming months.     There's a consensus that Jakari is a phenomenally talented offensive lineman. Can't beat the frame, can't beat the bend, and that tenacity is unreal. A super powerful, unrelenting offensive lineman that just about every college in the country wants to offer. I've heard mixed things about Jakri's fundamentals, but there's zero argument about his power, bend, and size. Arguably the highest upside of any offensive lineman in this class.
