- Still my #1 offensive lineman in the class of 2027, and it’s still not close.
- Zero defenders are posting highlights against Dewey. Dominates the competition.
- Very impressed with his fundamental polish. Balanced pass set, brutal punch, and does a great job staying square.
- Already dozens of Division 1 offers. Deservingly so.
- One of the worst-kept secrets in Michigan. Yeah, Dewey is on an incredible trajectory.

Obviously the #1 OL in this class is a name to know. Dewey creeped up on a lot of radars over the last year, and for good reason. Size, strength, technique and an incredibly high ceiling at the next level. His footwork is really good, and his aggression is unmatched. Defenders have no shot at wiggling free once he gets his hands on them, and he almost always finishes his block with a pancake. Truly one of the more dominant offensive linemen I have ever scouted. A no-brainer at #1.

I said it a short while ago- Dewey is my #1 class of 2027 lineman by a good margin. He checks nearly every box I look for in an offensive lineman.
Size ✔
Length ✔
Footwork ✔
Strength ✔
Tenacity ✔
Intangebles ✔
(and more)
While many other offensive linemen check most of those boxes, only Dewey checks all of them. Watch his film if you want to see what an elite offensive line prospect looks like. Expect Dewey to be ranked firmly in the Top 5 come next update.

I feel strongly that

is the #1 Junior offensive lineman in Michigan. Like everyone on this list, Dewey has excellent size, but he backs it up with excellent strength and high-end balance. Dewey is built extremely well; he’s balanced, mentally mature, and fundamentally sound. He’s a similar player to

Love me some week 1 offensive line highlights!
It’s a small sample size, but to me, Dewey looks better than he did last season. Yes, he has P4 size and strength- that much has been clear for a while. In this short tape and throughout the offseason, Dewey has proven that he’s much more than just a traits-heavy offensive tackle.
Great fun fits throughout the tape. The first two at 0:00 and 0:15 showcase Dewey’s willingness to drive through the whistle. 0:25 shows a good kickstep and balance on the pass set.
The things I just mentioned may seem like no-brainers. These things are actually quite rare in high school offensive tackles. Very rarely do I see someone of Dewey’s size move so well, plus being so willing to play through the whistle.

Another brand-new offensive lineman to the rankings, Dewey Young Dewey Young 6'5" | 305 lbs | OL Kalamazoo Central | 2027 State MI has that X-Factor.
Again, man, someone who has a real case for #1. Dewey has ideal size for an offensive tackle, plus good enough mechanics to be noticed by the vast majority of Power 4 programs. This offseason, he’s been able to showcase his abilities a little more. When it comes to power, Dewey is OL #1. He can absolutely bully people out there, and one punch can spell the end for even great defensive linemen. In addition, I like Dewey’s foot speed, balance, and anchor, those these areas aren’t yet perfect.
Dewey is a phenomenal tackle prospect, and many more offers are likely coming. Excited to see where the future takes Dewey!

Another lineman who is in the midst of an incredible offseason. Since the end of March, Dewey has earned offers from the likes of Colorado, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, and several others.
Dewey’s tape is all about power. Play after play, run after run, Dewey paves the way by deleting a defender. Reach block, base block, whatever block, Dewey’s first step is always strong. He does an excellent job of finishing every block. I’m very impressed with the tenacity shown on tape.
I do have a blind spot, as I’m unsure how skilled Dewey is as a pass blocker. He does have one clip on Twitter that I’m impressed with. Quick feet, stays square, and holds his hands up, prepared to punch.
This is looking like an incredible offensive line class. Dewey will be ranked very high in the incoming update.
