About Mykell
Expert Analysis

One of my best discoveries from the MHSAA Camp cycle. Mykell has plus-level athleticism. He’s got a polished route to pretty much every part of the field. Mykell can burn a DB with a double-move post, catch a quick 10-yard comeback, or deal damage with a screen.
Kalamazoo Central was a criminally underrated team last season, and they’ll once again be in the playoff conversation. Mykell could be a huge part of a Kzoo Central playoff run.

Kalamazoo Central has some legit talent. Crayton and Co. put themselves on the map last season with a playoff bid, and I’d bet they’ll do it again.
Mykell is a deep threat. He’s able to explode out of his release, make a quick move, and get downfield quickly. Able to force the defense to always think about the deep ball. Plus, Mykell earns a lot of “speed in space” touches. Screens, quick slants, etc. I’m impressed with Mykell’s ability to see the field and run into open space after the catch. His contact balance isn’t all that bad either. Lastly, Mykell has a few promising highlights at DB.
Mykell should absolutely be earning college offers next offseason. Like most on this list, he’s got a D2 ceiling and D3 floor.

A great KZoo Central player with a ton of open-field ability!
I’ll begin by talking about 0:29. A quick WR screen, hits the hole, and walks into the endzone. Next highlight, same play. Instead, the defense reads it a bit better. Although the defense was in good position, Mykell does a great job running through four arm tackles before being taken down.
There are a couple of other routes on his tape, like a post / medium crosser at 2:39. Plus, a few defensive highlights like 0:55. Overall, a very good sophomore season and should have a similar role on Varisty this Fall.
