Game Balls: Offense Week 8

Our Week 8 Offensive Standouts put on a show! We are coming down the home stretch of the regular season, so it is now or never. Several athletes took that to heart and put up insane numbers in some of the best individual performances and games of the season. We have a great representation of athletes from the Classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028. The numbers are elite too. Dual threat QBs with 350+ AP yards, insane efficiency on the ground, Randy Moss-esque receiving performance, and so much more to dive into. So let's hit play on some tape and talk about it!    Stats: 10 Carries, 145 Yards, 1 TD   What a showing from the sophomore RB out of Milwaukee Academy of Science. The sophomore demonstrated an explosive ability to stop on a dime and burst in another direction. Fredie is a slippery runner and explosive, but the '28 also shows patience while behind the line of scrimmage. Wright also flashed some straight line speed to get the edge and down the sideline for a big chunk play. MAS has produced skill players at a very high rate in recent years. Fredie will be one to keep tabs on.      Stats: 7 Receptions, 105 Yards, 2 TDs   We are going off shorter clips for this one, but I really wanted to include the strong showing from the senior WR. Isaac starts the tape showing off impressive ball skills and hand-eye coordination to make a wild grab for the score. The second clip highlights the seniors elusiveness in space with the ball, start/stop abilities, and acceleration. The final two clips both highlight Isaac's speed to get the angle on the DB and then make impressive catches up the middle of the field. Give the senior a look.     Stats: 14/18, 246 Yards, 2 TDs, 119 Rushing Yards, 2 TDs   In what turned into the Game of the Year, [player_tooltip player_id='1247534' first='Matt' last='Stevens'] did everything he could to get Bay Port a chance at victory. The dynamic senior put together a showing that highlights both his arm and his running abilities. Matt is so dangerous in the pocket. He can pick apart a defense with accuracy and a next level arm when it comes to arm strength. In Week 8 the QB did a great job of keeping plays alive, his eyes downfield, and making plays. The mechanics have been so clean this season too. He has taken that next step as a passer, and still has maintained his powerful running style on designed plays or even when the play breaks down. Stevens can kill a defense in a variety of ways. Time to tap into his film and get this kid in for a visit and try to get him on your roster for next fall.      Stats: 10 Receptions, 142 Yards, 1 TD   On the other side of the field in the Game of the Year we had a lot to choose from for a top performer. I want to focus on junior WR [player_tooltip player_id='1282584' first='Landon' last='Kibbe']. He is back to full strength and it is resulting in big numbers and big wins for West De Pere. Landon has made strides since I last saw him in person. Even with his bigger frame the junior excels with body control. Like making catches along the sideline, or getting open quickly in the short passing game with his route running. We are also seeing great examples of his hands, making concentration catches in traffic and holding onto the ball through hits. Landon is making himself such a reliable target, and one that can attack every level of the defense. This will be a name to know for the Class of 2027.     Stats: 15 Carries, 217 Yards, 4 TDs   I absolutely love the balance of power and speed that Deven plays with. This week's highlights show him using both on every big play. Deven has a special ability to run through a tackle attempt then within a stride or two he is at full speed running away from everyone. We don't often see a kid who can do the dirty work and turn that into huge runs after contact. But that is what the senior from Plymouth can do. He plays bigger than he is, but then also has the speed you would expect from a 5'11" 175 lbs RB. The senior is still available!      Stats: 5 Receptions, 74 Yards, 1 Game-Winning TD   In one of Bradford's biggest games of the season, we saw a sophomore playmaker step up and make a name for himself. [player_tooltip player_id='1284953' first='Marvin' last='Jones III'] picked apart the secondary. His game winning TD came on a perfect fade from the slot where he tracked the ball and attacked it with strong hands. The '28 showed some toughness on one of his catches too, taking a huge hit over the middle and hanging onto it. I love the strong hands the young playmaker has. Whether it is hanging on in traffic or while taking a hit, the kid comes down with the football. Get this kid on your radars early.      Stats: 13/19, 309 Yards, 5 TDs   One of the QBs in the Class of 2026 that I am very high on is Burlington's [player_tooltip player_id='1220759' first='Grant' last='Sulik']. The senior checks so many boxes and that has earned him a few offers, but more coming along wouldn't surprise me. He has the prototypical size. He has an arm that can truly rip the ball downfield into tight windows. That ability was on display multiple times in Week 8. The ability to be pinpoint accurate while firing a fastball into a spot is not easy to do at a consistent rate, but Grant has shown he can do that several weeks this year. Don't sleep on the senior QB.      Stats: 3 Receptions, 176 Yards, 3 TDs   You don't get more efficient than what [player_tooltip player_id='1610189' first='Dalton' last='Clark'] did in Week 8. The senior turned every reception into a score in what would be a dominant win. The WR steal did it in every way too. He turned a screen into 80+ TD reception with elusive running and speed. The senior ran a perfect corner route that got him just behind the defense for an easy target for his QB to drop the ball into. The final TD was a simple showing that Dalton was faster than everyone else on the field. The senior WR is a playmaker that can play at the next level. We need more people checking him out.      Stats: 32 Carries, 181 Yards, 1 TD   Pewaukee fed Omar early and often in Week 8, piling up 32 carries on the week. The senior RB has really impressed me this season. I love his combination of agility acceleration and contact balance. He can win between the tackles with that burst to fly through gaps or make an LB miss in a phone booth. Then the next carry the bowling ball RB is bouncing off guys or ripping through arm tackles for yards after contact. Omar is rising up my board and should be finding himself on the boards of WIAC and other WI schools.      Stats: 25 Carries, 254 Yards, 2 TDs   What a week from the uncommitted senior RB out of Homestead. Homestead has been on a tear this fall and the senior RB/FB is a huge reason why. Connor plays that FB spot in the 3 RB backfield that they utilize. It sure fits what Connor is best at. Getting downhill, always gaining positive yards, reacting quickly to small seams and using some lateral agility to get in and through them. Most importantly, attacking with a head full of steam ready to earn every yard between the tackles. I love the physicality of the 185 lbs senior. He plays bigger than that listed size, and I can easily see him on one of the elite D3 rosters across WI. Definitely a senior steal.      Stats: 9/10, 163 Yards, 3 TDs   The field general for Union Grove has the offense humming this season. The Broncos are a perfect 8-0, and Quinn is playing insanely efficient yet explosive football. In week 8 QB1 completed 90% of his passes with 3 TDs. Quinn carved up the intermediate portion of the field. He got the ball out very quickly, making fast decisions. His placement was spot on whether it was in rhythm or off platform. Plus it was great to see him making throws with velocity on them. Solid frame, reliable football IQ, and the arm to get the job done. Definitely a name to know for 2027s.
