2027 University WR [player_tooltip player_id='1326514' first='Hayden' last='George'] was up to his old tricks in a big 38-27 win over Parkersburg South in week two. George finished with 6 receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown to go along with 2 PBUs on defense. The Hawks have a host of talented pass catchers to utilize on offense, but George continues to emerge as their top playmaker in the passing game.

The Hedgesville Eagles fell to Washington in week two, but 2027 QB [player_tooltip player_id='861657' first='Chaz' last='Milburn'] brought his team back in the game. He tossed three touchdown passes in the comeback attempt and had a great second half as their offense found some success. On top of some big throws during the game, Milburn showed excellent pocket presence at times with a young offensive line in front of him, which was just as impressive to see.

2027 Washington DB [player_tooltip player_id='1161083' first='Phillip' last='Shields'] is being used more on offense this season and emerged at running back in the Patriots' win over Hedgesville in week two. Shields rushed for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns on 13 carries along with a 46-yard reception. He looked like a natural with the ball in his hands as an offensive playmaker and showcased some very good make-you-miss ability.

2026 Washington DB [player_tooltip player_id='863316' first='Camren' last='Togans'] had a nice game against Hedgesville on both sides of the ball as the Patriots looked for new faces to step up on offense this season. Togans' versatility for being able to play in the box and on the back end of the defense was on display for a complete performance in week two.

Athey showed a good command of the offense and displayed his veteran experience as a 4-year player.

The Wheeling Park Patriots had a big road win over the defending state runner-up Spring Mills Cardinals in week two, and got a good defensive performance from 2026 DB [player_tooltip player_id='894628' first='Isaac' last='Sands'].
Huntington's [player_tooltip player_id='1624328' first='Travon' last='Okonkwo'] emerged at running back for the Highlanders in their huge win over Martinsburg in week two. He finished the game with 84 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground and gave the Highlanders the spark they needed to pull out the momentum-building early-season victory.
