. He’s been a multi-year standout for the Flying Eagles and has elevated his offensive game on top of his known defensive prowess as a senior. Thomas can change the momentum of a game in a hurry on both sides of the ball with a big play in the passing or running game, and he can create turnovers on defense. They’re capable of pulling an upset in round one of the playoffs, but they’ll need a big game from players like Thomas to do so.

has emerged as a standout two-way player for the Flying Eagles this season. On top of his usual defensive prowess at safety, Thomas has developed into an offensive threat. He’s showcasing his versatility as an athlete in a multitude of ways as a senior, which should garner him more college attention this season. Thomas is one of the best defensive back prospects in the 2026 class and has proved as much with his production throughout his career as he closes it with a strong senior season.

still had a strong performance. He showcased his athletic versatility with 5 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown on offense and 7 tackles and shutdown pass coverage on defense. Thomas will be one of the top two-way skill players this season for the Flying Eagles and should see more college opportunities.

. He was a big-time producer as a junior and will be in the mix for the Carl Lee Award this season, signifying the top defensive back in the state. Thomas is a ball-hawking safety who should have every D2 program in the state after his services.

. Thomas picked off two passes against a Washington team that is deep and talented at the receiver position and had a great start to his junior year. He’s on the smaller side but is an athletic free safety prospect who can roam around on the backend for the Flying Eagles at a high level.
If he continues this strong play throughout the season, Thomas could be in store for a rankings bump in the winter update after the season.

A young defensive back out of Woodrow Wilson who showed some good flashes as a sophomore is AJ ThomasAJThomas

. Thomas is still growing and would benefit from added size in that 5’7 140 range but the athleticism is there to build on. He was a really good special teams player at times for the Flying Eagles while seeing some spot duty at defensive back. His role should increase further in 2024 for his junior season and could be a full-time starter. Thomas has really good speed and plays above his size which is great to see in a young player. He seems to make big plays when he gets an opportunity which is another trait that will benefit him as he gets older. If he can get a bit bigger I think his ceiling will rise a lot higher and could see his ranking make a big jump. Thomas can get some carries in their Wing-T offense as well and may eventually move to ATH in our 2026 rankings.
