2028 Woodrow Wilson OL Ben Fitzwater has taken some positive steps since our last evaluation, and the recent offer from Concord reflects that progress. One of the biggest areas we wanted to see growth in was in how Fitzwater moved on the field, and his sophomore film showed noticeable improvement in that department. He looks more comfortable getting out of his stance, covering ground, and handling situations that require him to operate in space. Fitzwater has always had flashes, but seeing those improvements start to show up on film is encouraging. His trajectory is pointing in the right direction, and if he continues building on the progress he made as a sophomore, it would not be surprising to see his stock continue rising over the next year.

2028 Woodrow Wilson OL Ben Fitzwater Ben Fitzwater 6'2" | 250 lbs | OL/DL Woodrow Wilson | 2028 State WV was a varsity starter as a sophomore for the Flying Eagles this season and is progressing well since we first saw him in person as a freshman. He’s someone who we’ve evaluated several times at various camps and have seen firsthand his strengths and needed improvements as a player. If Fitzwater can further develop his quickness, footwork, and overall athleticism by his senior year, he’ll see himself much higher in the rankings.

2028 Woodrow Wilson OL Ben Fitzwater Ben Fitzwater 6'2" | 250 lbs | OL/DL Woodrow Wilson | 2028 State WV has stepped into a starting role for the Flying Eagles as a sophomore and will be a young prospect to follow for the next two and a half years. He’s settled in at left tackle in a Wing-T system, where he’ll quickly learn the toughness and physicality of the position. If Fitzwater can keep making strides athletically and growing into his 6’3 frame, he’ll have a high ceiling as a player and prospect coming from an athletic family.

He’ll improve athletically as he gets older and as his body matures, but Fitzwater did a nice job as a young lineman at Saturday’s camp, competing against some older and talented defensive linemen in attendance. His positivity and willingness to learn stood out throughout the camp, which speaks to his dedication to improve as a player, which you love to see in young prospects.
