It's pretty simple at this point- [player_tooltip player_id='119260' first='Jaxson' last='Dosh'] is one of the most special athletes we have in the state. He showed another example of it in week 1 against Roseville. From the start, the Western Michigan commit led the charge and never let up, ending his night with 4 rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown as well. He was constantly breaking tackles, snatching ankles and breaking into the open space. When he did throw, he was doing some real damage. He had a couple of cross body throws that are super difficult and he made them look easy. He also had a couple of times where he was rolling, kept his eyes down field and stopped on a dime when he saw his opportunity to chuck it deep. What a start to a senior season for Jaxson.

Ahman had himself an unreal game. 4 touchdowns, including a punt return? In a half? Insane. Ahman is one of the fastest and most athletic guys we have in the state. He is so good at exploiting the tiniest gaps in the defense and making them pay for it. His route running is phenomenal thanks to his elite speed and great change of direction. He flashes good hands and has the ability to come down with some difficult catches. I don't think this is the last huge game Edmonds has this fall.

Man, what a week 1 performance! Fray was dealing through the air, while also dismantling the defense with his legs. Fray went for 187 yards on the ground while also throwing for another 304 yards. When running, he was using some great athleticism to get through the hole, make a couple of cuts and getting up field. Through the air, I was impressed with his ability to keep his eyes downfield while moving the pocket, and executing some difficult throws. One of his plays he was all but sacked but was able to shovel the ball to an open guy in the middle of the defense. The poise it takes to keep looking for that guy while being wrapped up is extreme. Great week 1 and great breakout performance by Fray.

The week 1 highlights were exactly what I thought I would see! Incredible awareness in the pocket, huge arm and good decision making. Wynn was decisive and confident on all of his throws. Mechanics didn't slip, even when he was under some heavy fire. He made a couple of big-time throws that not everyone can. He was patient and was able to buy himself some time when necessary. On top of that, he was also great on the ground when he needed to be and picked up some critical yards. I am definitely not stunned that Diegel had a big week 1, and I predict there will be some more big ones over the coming few weeks!

I was really impressed by the performance in week 1 out of [player_tooltip player_id='1343480' first='Hudson' last='Smith']. 17-32 passing with 385 yards and 4 TDs are really great numbers. The lefty looked confident in the pocket and actually made a couple of really nice reads. I know Milford asks a lot of their quarterbacks, but it looks like Hudson can handle all of it and then some. I am really impressed with his start to the season, and will definitely be watching what he does the rest of the season!

Some things just don't change. One of those is Jayden “Tank” Terry running all over his opponent. On 19 carries in week 1, Terry tallied 273 yards and 3 touchdowns. It seemed like every update I got from that game was Jayden tearing off another chunk play. We've covered it over and over. His elite speed, unbelievable determination and ability to bounce off of tacklers is unlike pretty much anyone in our state. I am really looking forward to seeing how he follows it up against a tough Cass Tech team in week 2.
