The first three weeks of the season have passed, and we'll be highlighting prospects who have produced highlight tapes for their first few games. Colleges will evaluate prospect film from the first three games of the season to assess their progress from last year and the off-season, as they update their recruiting boards. Here are some QB prospects to check out from the first three weeks of the season with film!

2026 Wirt County QB [player_tooltip player_id='882030' first='Tyler' last='Smith'] shook off an early-season injury and bounced back well through the first three weeks of the season for the Tigers. He's been very efficient in three games, completing 70% of his passes for 420 yards and 7 touchdowns with no interceptions. Smith has added two scores on the ground and has managed the offense well when healthy. He's a very underrated QB prospect in this class with D2 ability in our eyes, especially once he develops his 6'3 frame at the next level.

2026 Hampshire QB [player_tooltip player_id='1227642' first='Landon' last='Eversole'] also bounced back from an early injury and has the Trojans at 2-1 on the young season. He's performing how we expected him to with a fast start to his senior year. Eversole is difficult to defend for defenses with his dual-threat ability and being able to scramble and escape the pocket to throw accurately on the run. He's someone you have to key on every play, and is a dynamic player at the position and playing like a veteran through three weeks.

It's been a tough first three weeks for a young Hedgesville team, but #1 2027 QB [player_tooltip player_id='861657' first='Chaz' last='Milburn'] is doing his best to keep the Eagles competitive. He's had his bright moments during this difficult stretch and is learning how to keep plays alive and escape the pocket behind a young offensive line. That's tough right now, but he'll benefit in the long term as a pocket passer-type quarterback. Milburn is throwing well on the run and is developing well in that area this season. When he has time to go through his reads, you can see the high-level potential we've seen from him since before his freshman year.

Current #2 2027 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1271395' first='Harrison' last='Helbig'] is vying for that top spot this season and has done some good things through the first three weeks. He's capable of elevating his game further, but this is his first season as the full-time starter and going into the year as QB1. Helbig is still raw in some areas, but the natural ability and potential are evident in his game if he can continue to fine-tune his fundamentals. The ceiling is very high for him as a player and prospect, and he's shown flashes of it so far this season for the Hawks.

2027 Woodrow Wilson QB [player_tooltip player_id='897526' first='Gage' last='Price'] had a setback in week two, but has largely taken the step forward that we expected this season for the Flying Eagles. Price had a great week one against Washington and has thrown for 420 yards and 5 touchdowns with another score on the ground in three games in a Wing-T offense. He's managed their system well with a 2-1 start to the year and can lead them to the playoffs if he elevates his game. The flashes are still showing in Price's game at the beginning of his junior season as he gets more comfortable.

2027 Mingo Central QB [player_tooltip player_id='1687819' first='Jamere' last='Knuckles'] has been a revelation for the Miners this season in his first year in the program. It took a game to get the passing game going, but Knuckles has settled in well and has done a great job as a passer and runner on their way to a 3-0 start. Knuckles is a big, physical athlete, which has translated to immediate success as a dual-threat player. He's thrown for just under 500 yards and 4 touchdowns while adding 184 yards and 5 more scores with his legs through the first three weeks.

2027 East Hardy QB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='864946' first='Trevor' last='Roof'] has had an excellent start to his junior season for the Cougars, even during a 0-3 start. They've fallen to three very good teams and showed signs of competitiveness in all three defeats, largely due to the play of Roof as a passer and runner. He's totaled over 1,000 yards of offense and 14 touchdowns on a 71% completion percentage. Roof is dynamic with the ball in his hands in both phases of the position and should start getting on college radars after his junior season.

2028 Morgantown QB [player_tooltip player_id='923337' first='Maddox' last='Twigg'] has put himself in the Kennedy Award talk with the start that he's had to his sophomore season. When watching him play, it's hard to believe that he's just in his second year of high school, both physically and developmentally. He runs the Mohigans' Wing/Gun-T offense to near perfection with his dual-threat capability. He's been able to showcase his arm talent much more this season, throwing for 558 yards and 6 touchdowns on a 71% completion percentage. His athleticism has shown as a runner and in defensive snaps, with 287 rushing yards and 5 more scores for a blazing start for him and the team with a 3-0 start.
