With a new season underway in West Virginia, fresh names emerge at the varsity level, transfer in, or upload their film for the first time. We'll be highlighting new names that we add to our recruiting board that colleges should also consider. Here are 7 new prospects from week three to know this season and beyond.

It's been a rollercoaster year for 2026 Fairmont Senior ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1793789' first='Jason' last='Walker'], but it's going to pay off for him this season. Walker spent all summer as the Polar Bears' QB1, but a late transfer from another quarterback into the program had Walker move to receiver. His unselfish nature welcomed the adversity, and Walker can thrive in his new position. Receiver is a more natural spot for him and will benefit him more as a player and prospect in the long run, with a win-win situation for the Fairmont Senior program. He's emerged as their top passing threat throughout their first two games, and Walker should begin grabbing college attention for football, with a wrestling background as well.

A new name to add to your 2027 offensive line recruiting board is Ripley's [player_tooltip player_id='1896592' first='Gavon' last='Hamon']. He's someone who small colleges will want to keep tabs on over the next year and a half as a potential offer-worthy candidate. Hamon has quality 6'0 230 size as a junior and a frame to add considerable mass to over the next year. Hamon plays with solid technique and understands his blocking assignments. Being a smaller lineman right now also aids his ability to play in space and move to his spot as an overall athletic offensive lineman.

One of the leading passers in West Virginia through the first three games of the season is a new and emerging quarterback in 2027 Berkley Springs QB [player_tooltip player_id='1616318' first='Jalen' last='Miller']. He's thrown for 845 yards and 8 touchdowns to just 2 interceptions while completing 73% of his passes to begin his first year starting behind center. Miller has a physical build at 6'0 205 that translates to quality arm strength and ability to stretch the field vertically. He's asked to throw on the run a lot in their offense, and does a nice job of doing so accurately, especially on tougher deep corner routes. If Miller continues to develop the intricate details of the quarterback position, he'll have the potential to earn some scholarship looks as a senior.

The Riverside Warriors have several new names to add to your recruiting board from this season, with the next being 2027 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1728028' first='Jaion' last='Tucker']. His size and athleticism give him versatility in his alignment and role on defense, as Tucker can play MLB, OLB, EDGE, and even some DE snaps. Coming off the edge feels like his most natural position on defense, where he can use his quickness and length to beat offensive tackles consistently. Tucker is a name to monitor over the next year and a half as he continues to emerge for the Warriors.

Another Berkeley Springs 2027 prospect to know is a versatile athlete in [player_tooltip player_id='1335565' first='Jake' last='Aulabaugh']. He's been effective in both the passing and running game, and is coming off his best performance yet against Clear Spring (MD). Aulabaugh had 7 carries for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns while also catching two passes for 39 yards and a third score. He can be used as a gadget player who forces defenses to key on him every play. They'll get the ball in his hands in a variety of ways, and Aulabaugh has the athleticism to generate a potential big play every time he touches it.

Another Riverside prospect who has done some good things on varsity this season is 2028 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1740696' first='Joel' last='Peters']. He's young and still physically maturing, but Peters is battling well on the Warriors' offensive line and has stepped into a starting role on varsity as a sophomore. Being undersized right now allows Peters to play with low leverage, and it has stymied longer defensive tackles this season. His film against St. Albans in week three proves as much, where he also did a great job on double-team blocks.

Another 2028 offensive line prospect to know from the first three weeks is Nicholas County's [player_tooltip player_id='1615500' first='Kaleb' last='Mann']. He just helped 2026 teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1139399' first='Devin' last='Nash'] rush for over 500 yards and 7 touchdowns in last night's win over Lincoln, which speaks to how dominant the Grizzlies were up front with Mann and Co. He has the length at 6'3 to continue adding size to his frame over the next two and a half years, which will take Mann's game even higher. Mann has a high ceiling as a player if he continues to progress, but the early signs say he'll eventually reach it.
