X Film Room: Defensive Standouts

Great play speed and play recognition on those, too. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>0:44 is probably my favorite highlight. Great job taking full advantage of the extremely rare easy INT opportunity. Second, a really nice PBU on the receiver running the go. Great job getting to his spot and getting a hand on it. Third, a nice read, attack, and big hit on the ballcarrier. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm impressed with what Zezula showed during week 1. Really nice job quickly reading the screen, exploding, and making an easy pick-6 for himself. Most DBs wouldn't react as quickly as Jay'Ar did there. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Second play, a little showcase of his athletic ability. Good speed running down the sideline with his receiver, and a nice job breaking up the pass. I'm sure he'll upgrade his technique throughout the season. Great play recognition and explosiveness to quickly catch the RB in the flat. Then, 0:32 shows a great stop from the backside. 1:03 is another really nice run stop. Love the way Lucas is able to lay out and earn tough tackles. Just look at his first highlight. He knew the pass to the RB was coming, and he attacked. Great hit to knock the RB backward for negative yardage- Eion knew what his job was and executed it very well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>0:11 is a super similar play. A pass to the flat, and Eion attacks. This time, the RB cuts inside. Eion adjusts, cuts inside, and delivers a punch to the football. Eion is not the most athletically gifted LB, but man do I love his play speed and play recognition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Eion is also Ogemew Heights' QB. A few decent throws.
