Week 2 Recap: Quarterbacks

Let's take a look at some signal callers who looked good in Week Two.    Lopati only played a half but showed all of his tools. The good arm, quick processing, and the ability to navigate within the pocket. He threw for five touchdown passes and knew when to stress the defense and when to lay it up. It was a good week for him.     Sweetwyne faced an out-of-state defense, and they tried to show different looks to confuse him, but he came out and looked tremendous. He is an efficient passer, has good ability to navigate the pocket, and is deadly on the ground when he chooses to take off. He throws with good velocity, can layer his throws, and his accuracy has improved the most over the offseason. He is someone who will continue to shred defenses with his arm and his legs.     Fountaine ended up as our 67th-ranked prospect and the QB10 in our final offseason rankings, and he's showing why we had such an elevated opinion of him. He gets to his second read with ease, isn't afraid to stress the defense with deep passes and dotting the ball all over the field, and he has taken command of the offense and elevated the players around him. He threw for over 475 yards and had five touchdowns. He's making the most out of his final season and should get some looks regionally in recruiting.     Reutzel has great arm talent, and he put it on full display on the evening. He is a signal caller who is effortless when throwing the deep ball. He shows good velocity and gets to his second reads. He showed good ball placement, was accurate, and showed good mobility on the ground. He's a true dual threat and someone that must be accounted for pre-snap by opposing defenses; he accounted for five touchdowns on the evening.     Payne is an exciting prospect who has all the tools to be a top signal caller in his class. Against Brighton, he showed his maturation and had great command of the offense. He processes quickly, has a quick release, and is someone who shows good arm talent and will lead his receivers open. He had a good night moving the ball around and keeping the opposing defense on their heels. He'll have a great season.     Wight has shown great progress from last year to this year. He is deadly with his legs and is a signal caller who will use that to his advantage to suck backers in, and he can throw one over their heads. He showed great poise last week and is starting to show the promise we saw last year. He accounted for four touchdowns and had a great week, and will look to build on that in the upcoming weeks.     Savage was set up to have a fantastic final season, and he's lived up to all the offseason hype and the decisiveness he showed this offseason during 7's events, which has translated to the season. He is poised, stands tall in the pocket, has good arm talent, and will lead his receivers open and out of danger. He accounted for five touchdowns on the evening and will only continue his efficient season as the weeks go on.     Hales shows good moxy and is someone who isn't afraid to stress a defense and take deep shots. He has good ball placement and will dot the ball all over the field. He threw for over 350 yards and has full command of the offense. He gets to his second read with ease and is a player who will continue to only get better as the weeks go on.     Griffin has good size, and he stands tall in the pocket and does well getting to his second read. He has a good arm on him, and he had a good night and found a good rhythm and got his playmakers the ball, and was able to keep the offense ahead of the chains. He was effective with five touchdown passes on the night    Those were some signal callers that impacted the past week and will look to continue their momentum as the season goes on.
