[player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] - Broken Bow

Broken Bow quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] was arguably the biggest breakout star in Oklahoma last season. It didn't take long for him to start turning heads across the state. Whether it's his outstanding highlight tape or if you see him in person, you can't help but be amazed with the overall athletic ability. It's going to be fun in Broken Bow over the next two seasons because every week you're guaranteed to see a handful of plays made by Howell that just make you say "wow" and we can't wait to see more.

[player_tooltip player_id='1235926' first='Drew' last='Frankenfield'] - Owasso

If Howell is 1A then Owasso's [player_tooltip player_id='1235926' first='Drew' last='Frankenfield'] is 1B. The gap is minimal as these two are hands down the top quarterbacks in the state right now. Frankenfield amazed last season in his first year as QB1 of the Rams and he did it right from the start against Bixby and Jenks in the first two games. We watched Frankenfield in person again this spring and he's improved in almost every category. He's taller, bigger and had complete control of the offense. He doesn't look like a soon-to-be junior in high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='891992' first='Kason' last='Delgado'] - Muskogee

Based solely on pure arm talent, [player_tooltip player_id='891992' first='Kason' last='Delgado'] is right there at the top of the list when it comes to the state's 2027 class. But he's definitely taken an unconventional path as he prepares to suit up for Muskogee this fall after previous stops at Union, Edmond Santa Fe and Broken Arrow. But like we said from the beginning, the arm talent is there and he's continuing to fine-tune his mechanics to become more of a polished passer. Delgado will be another one to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1473214' first='Ja' last='Posey'] - Pocola

Pocola quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1473214' first='Ja' last='Posey'] has one of the more underrated arms in the state. At this time last year, we didn't know much about Posey but that quickly changed. The Pocola signal caller started throwing for 400-500+ yards and it seemed like he was doing that on a weekly basis. The arm strength is off the charts and we're looking forward to seeing what he does this season. And as we've said in the past, Posey seemed like he always elevated his game against the toughest opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='445315' first='Taven' last='Hayes'] - Southmoore

Southmoore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='445315' first='Taven' last='Hayes'] is a prospect that got bumped up after we got a chance to watch him in person, in addition to seeing more film from last season. Hayes was one of the top passers in Class 6A-2 last season but when we caught him in the spring, he really impressed us with his overall athletic ability. Hayes was making things happen with his legs in a team camp setting. Hayes could end up leading this Southmoore team to a decent playoff run this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1260997' first='Dylan' last='Taylor'] - Union

Union quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1260997' first='Dylan' last='Taylor'] is in the middle of a quarterback battle for this season. We've written about Taylor quite a bit over the last 12 months as a guy that continues to get better and better with each time we see him. He's continuing to grow physically and as a pure passer. He's always impressed us at our offseason camps or 7v7 tournaments but he also impressed us when the pads came on at team camp. He looks the part and it wouldn't be surprising if he won the starting job.

[player_tooltip player_id='1035272' first='Braddox' last='Broughton'] - Sapulpa

Sapulpa quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1035272' first='Braddox' last='Broughton'] really impressed us when we got a chance to watch him throw the ball around at a team camp this spring. In fact, when we walked onto the field, he was one of the first players that stood out after making an incredible throw down the field. Broughton has had to fight through some adversity over the last 18 months. From moving to Sapulpa to battling through nagging injuries. But based on what we've seen lately, he's healthy and ready to break out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1307135' first='Noah' last='Smith'] - Blanchard

Blanchard has had a really strong run of quarterback play over the last five years and apparently, they're not slowing down anytime soon. [player_tooltip player_id='1307135' first='Noah' last='Smith'] appears to be the next QB1 for the Lions and we think he's another example of a player that's about to have a big year. Blanchard is transitioning to a new era under a new head coach but Smith could end up having a big season. He has the size, a strong arm and he has some talented players around him. We're looking forward to seeing his production in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1524935' first='Landen' last='Griffith'] - Talihina

Talihina quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1524935' first='Landen' last='Griffith'] is on our shortlist of '27 quarterbacks to watch in person this season. Griffith put up numbers that you only see done on video games. He was just as likely to run for 200+ yards as he was to pass for 200+ yards. Our only chance to watch him in person was the state title game when they ran up against Woodland. Griffith held his own but that was a very good Woodland team. But Griffith and Talihina could end up making another run to Edmond this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1035105' first='Roman' last='Manella'] - Mount St. Mary

Rounding out the top ten in this update is Mount St. Mary's [player_tooltip player_id='1035105' first='Roman' last='Manella'] and he's a prospect that we're very intrigued to see more of this season. We'll dive into this more in July with our team previews but we think Mount St. Mary could be a breakthrough team in 2025. Manella has starting experience and in the moments we've seen him in person, he makes some really tough throws look easy. Just like with his team, we think that Manella could be a breakout star this fall.
