The Prep Redzone Oklahoma team camp tour continued last week with a stop at Noble, continuing the second week of the tour. This team camp has become one of the "must see" team camps because it's always loaded with individual and team talent. Below, we take a look at the players and prospects that stood out to us while we were watching on Wednesday morning. All in all, a baker's dozen names are featured in this breakdown as nearly every school had a player or two that caught our attention. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more team camp coverage!

[player_tooltip player_id='1179996' first='Acyn' last='Hansen'] - 2026 Quarterback - Jones

We got a chance to see Jones at this team camp a year ago. And it was our first chance to see 2026 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1179996' first='Acyn' last='Hansen'] at the QB position. Then we watched him again this year at the same camp and the jump he's made in the last 12 months was noticeable and something that the rest of Class 2A-1 should be very concerned about going into this season. Hansen was in full control of the offense throughout the morning session and was spreading the ball around to different players. His pocket awareness was outstanding and we didn't even get to see the full skillset from Hansen on Wednesday. Hansen is also a terrific runner and he was doing as much work behind the line of scrimmage, scrambling to keep plays alive to throw the ball downfield. We walked away from the camp very impressed with his overall growth as a quarterback.

[player_tooltip player_id='1683955' first='Brayden' last='Heffernan'] - 2026 Offensive Lineman - Blanchard

The Blanchard Lions are going to have somewhat of a new feel this season under new head coach Lance Manning. But the Lions have some serious talent returning that could keep them as a contender in Class 4A. But as much skill talent as they return, they have to be right up front, on the line of scrimmage and they have guys there. One that stood out was 2026 offensive and defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1683955' first='Brayden' last='Heffernan'] and he really impressed us on the offensive line. He reminded us a lot of Ross Johnston from a few years ago. And Blanchard fans would remember, Johnston was a key part of that state championship team. Now, we're not saying Heffernan will be the cornerstone of a state title team this fall. But we are suggesting that it's a possibility. There's a lot to like with Heffernan's game and he wasn't on our radar prior but certainly is now.

[player_tooltip player_id='1304611' first='Cole' last='Watkins'] - 2026 Athlete - Blanchard

When you're talking about prospects that simply pass the eye test as soon as you see them, Blanchard 2026 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1304611' first='Cole' last='Watkins'] would be on that list. Watkins is a big athlete that looks to be just as comfortable as a wide receiver or lining up as a traditional tight end. Either way, he's a big target for the Blanchard passing attack. Watkins was also lining up on the defensive side of the ball and again, he's hard to miss with his height and length. And that was a big problem for opposing offenses trying to throw the ball with Watkins in the way. Right now, Watkins looks like he could be a tight end at the next level but we won't rule out him also playing a little bit of defense and maybe that's where he naturally fits anyway. Either way, he's going to give Blanchard a very productive two-way player to keep an eye on this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1624786' first='DJ' last='Ackerson'] - 2026 Linebacker - Putnam City

Putnam City standout and Kansas State commit [player_tooltip player_id='1624786' first='DJ' last='Ackerson'] was one of the more high profile prospects at the team camp on Wednesday. Ackerson is being recruited on the defensive side of the ball but he showed that he's much more than just a defensive standout. In fact, when we were watching Putnam City, he really stood out to us on the offensive side of the ball at wide receiver. There is no doubt that he's a terrific athlete and he's another player that immediately passes the eye test when you watch him go to work in person. Ackerson really impressed us at the wide receiver position and there's a chance that he's part of a Putnam City passing attack that's one of the best in Class 6A-2 this fall. But don't get us wrong, you're still talking about one of the best overall defensive prospects in the state's 2026 class and it definitely showed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] - 2027 Quarterback - Broken Bow

We don't think this is that bold of a take but Broken Bow 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] might be the most electrifying quarterback in the state this fall. Howell had multiple games in 2024 where he had over 150 passing and over 150 rushing yards. He's the true definition of that dual-threat quarterback. And on Wednesday, that dynamic and electrifying playing style was on full display. Now, it was a team camp setting so Howell wasn't able to really use everything in his game in terms of the downfield running. And defenses got the benefit of a quick whistle when they were in the backfield but we'll just say that there were quite a few plays that were blown dead but Howell had the ability to get out of those jams. But Howell's arm strength is completely underrated and that was a skillset that was front and center on Wednesday. He's going to have a big junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='858875' first='Jordan' last='Clark'] - 2026 Running Back - McAlester

There were a handful of running backs that stood out throughout the morning in Noble. And as pure running backs go, McAlester 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='858875' first='Jordan' last='Clark'] was one of the best in attendance. Clark was also playing some safety and that hybrid defensive back position but he was at his best, in our opinion, on the offensive side of the ball. Clark is so incredibly powerful and quick on his feet and he was a problem all morning for opposing defenses. We think that the McAlester standout is one of the more underrated running backs in the state right now. And McAlester could look a little different this fall as Jeff Craig has come over from Blanchard to lead the Buffaloes. But on paper, they look like a team that could make some noise in Class 5A. And Clark leading the way as that workhorse running back is a big reason why.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664120' first='Josiah' last='Chester'] - 2027 Wide Receiver - Del City

We wrote about Del City 2027 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1664120' first='Josiah' last='Chester'] a few weeks ago after he tore things up at our latest PRZ-Oklahoma camp. Chester was one of the top wide receivers in attendance that day, so it's no surprise that he was one of the top wide receivers that we watched on Wednesday in Noble. The pads came on, physicality was promoted and it didn't change a thing. Chester was winning rep after rep and beating defenders consistently down the field. We really like some of the skill talent that Del City brings back on offense this season. They have a legitimate two-headed monster at running back and that's going to open things up for the playaction pass game, with shots down field. And Chester is the name to watch as the Eagles go into this season. We're calling our shot now and if he stays healthy, he'll be a breakout star this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1035154' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'] - 2027 Athlete - Del City

We mentioned that potential two-headed monster for Del City at running back. Holmes is one and 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1035154' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'] is the other. Del City felt like they were at their best offensively when they had both Holmes and Blackwolf in the backfield. It gives them so many options and puts the ultimate stress on the defense, trying to guess where they're going with the football and none of the options are good. Blackwolf was truly dynamic on the offensive side of the ball on Wednesday morning. Whether it was lining up as a running back or a wide receiver, he gave the Eagles a major threat, that defenses had to be aware of. Then he turned around and was fun to watch on the defensive side of the ball. Overall, he had a strong showing from start to finish and is going to be one of the more dynamic overall players in Class 5A this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='587272' first='Luke' last='DeBusk'] - 2026 Linebacker - Jones

Jones 2026 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='587272' first='Luke' last='DeBusk'] is going to go into this season as one of the more experienced and productive linebackers in the state, regardless of class. The Jones standout is going to be a four-year starter for the Longhorns this fall and he has been a tackling machine for the last three years. We don't have every team's stats in front of us but we don't believe there are very many players that will play this fall that have more tackles than DeBusk. And after watching him again on Wednesday, none of our opinions about him as that tackling machine have changed. In fact, DeBusk was one of our favorite players to watch. Because he still has that unbelievable physicality to his game. But he's also an extension of the coaching staff on the field. Before every play, he was helping the defense get into the right position and constantly helping his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1307135' first='Noah' last='Smith'] - 2027 Quarterback - Blanchard

Blanchard has had a really good run in the last five years at the quarterback position. That run could be continuing with 2027 signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1307135' first='Noah' last='Smith'] ready to take over the reigns of this offense. Smith saw plenty of playing time early on in the 2024 season but now, it looks like the keys to the offense are all his. And after watching him for a while on Wednesday, the Lions could be in good hands with Smith running the offense. Last year, he had to split time or he was filling in for a senior. This year, he's going to have the freedom to grow in the position and we really like what the Lions have coming back on the offensive side of the ball. Smith impressed us as a pure passer on Wednesday but he was also able to show that he can move around if he's getting pressured. Smith has really impressed us the last two times we've seen him in person.

[player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] - 2026 Running Back/Linebacker - Del City

Del City 2026 standout [player_tooltip player_id='587262' first='Ricklan' last='B Holmes II'] was one of the best two-way players in the state last season and it doesn't look like much is going to change as we head into the 2025 season. Offensively, Holmes is a bruising running back that was dominant on Wednesday. And it looks like he's gotten quicker, which is a scary thought considering he can run over almost anyone on the field and now he can run by them as well. Defensively, Holmes is right at home as a middle or inside linebacker. He's a hard hitter who always knows where to be and simply has a nose for the football. When we watched him in person last year, he was one of the best two-way players we watched in 2024. After watching him again on Wednesday, that thought still remains. He's going to be one of the best overall players in the state of Oklahoma this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='587267' first='Savion' last='James'] - 2026 Wide Receiver - Putnam City

Putnam City 2026 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='587267' first='Savion' last='James'] has been on our radar for a long time now but it's always been for what he can do on the defensive side of the ball and specifically at cornerback. But as you can see, we have James listed here as a wide receiver. Because on Wednesday, James was one of the best wide receivers we watched in Noble. James was terrific at the wide receiver position and he was catching almost everything thrown his way. And the Pirates are going to have one of the more experienced quarterbacks starting this fall so James could certainly see his production hit a major spike this fall. And if Wednesday was any indication, James will be a big part of the Putnam City offense this fall. It didn't matter what routes he was running. Short, intermediate or deep routes, James was able to make plays all over the field and after the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1607343' first='Tripp' last='Alexander'] - 2026 Defensive Lineman - Putnam City

Putnam City 2026 defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1607343' first='Tripp' last='Alexander'] was simply dominant on Wednesday. In our opinion, he was the best defensive lineman in attendance and it wasn't particularly close. When we were watching Putnam City going to work on defense, it all started up front with Alexander on the defensive line. Alexander was borderline unblockable on Wednesday morning. Opposing offenses had three choices when it came to Alexander. Double team him, hold him or lose a 1 on 1 situation. That's what it felt like on every play. Alexander was getting after it and was an absolute menace in the middle of that Putnam City defense. The Pirates have some serious talent on that side of the ball and they're going to be a team to look out for this fall in Class 6A-2. And Alexander is a player that will be setting the tone for this defense all season.
