Here are the guys I was impressed by with their skills and instincts.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1612778' first='Brody' last='Thompson'] 6'2 180 Elk River – Thompson undercut a route for an interception. Then, he tracked multiple moves, keeping tight coverage. He showed good recovery speed and made a nice adjustment on the ball to get an interception. Thompson undercut a crossing route to get another interception. His recovery speed was on display again, allowing him to make a play on a deep ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1633430' first='Rashid' last='Karim'] 6'2 170 Champlin Park – Karim showed nice footwork, staying with his man with good physical play. Then, he undercut a route to deflect the ball. He showed good physical coverage again and was better positioned to make the catch than the receiver. His positioning allowed him to make the pick.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1651475' first='Kevin' last='Tennin-Gray'] 6'0 160 Holy Family – Tennin-Gray had tight coverage on a crossing route, allowing him to knock down a pass. He was again right in the receiver's hip pocket, showing excellent hips. Later, he undercut an out route and almost got a pick.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1246911' first='Jaxon' last='Brown'] 5'7 160 Wayzata Brown showed good positioning on a fade route - walling off the receiver. Then, he had tight coverage on the outside. Then, he stayed with the receiver, who made multiple moves and deflected a pass.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1248616' first='Beau' last='Nicklay'] 5'11 175 Byron Nicklay showed textbook coverage on a deep route. Then, he tracked the ball well and deflected a pass. He showed nice recovery speed to get back into the play and make a play on the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1629203' first='Savion' last='Severson'] 5'9 165 Northfield– Early, Severson showed good recovery speed. Then, his quick hips allowed him to close on a ball. Then, he had perfect coverage defending a variety of moves. Late in the day, he undercut a route and deflected a pass.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1551432' first='Anderson' last='Dose'] 6'1 170 Eagan – Dose showed good hips and footwork, which allowed him to stay with the route and deflect the pass. Later, he made one of the most impressive plays by a defensive back when he completely laid out to knock a pass away.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1395226' first='Oliver' last='Kuhn'] 6'1 195 Breck Kuhn showed tight coverage on a fade route. Then, he duplicated that tight coverage on an out route.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1246782' first='Lamar' last='McInnis Jr'] 5'11 175 Elk River McInnis closed quickly on a crossing route to make a play on the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1291433' first='JJ' last='Twigg'] 5'9 145 Eastview Twigg got his hand on a crossing route – knocking away the pass. Then, he undercut a route to knock another pass away.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1629924' first='Owen' last='Paulsen'] 5'11 160 Orono Paulsen showed good recovery speed to defend a deep route. Later, he showed good instincts and footwork to knock away a pass.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Allstair Schlaeger 5'9 145 St. Thomas Academy – Schlaeger undercut a route to get a hand on the ball. He showed good feet and stayed with some smaller receivers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1492281' first='Colton' last='Wacker'] 6'2 190 Chaska – Wacker made a good break on the ball, allowing him to deflect a pass.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1658006' first='Rodney' last='Pierce-Tyler'] Jr 6' 170 Brooklyn Center – Pierce-Tyler had tight coverage on an out route. Then, he tracked a multiple-cut route well. He adjusted to an underthrown ball for an interception.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1658019' first='Ronell' last='Willis Jr'] 5'11 150 Minneapolis North– Willis Jr. had tight coverage on a short out route. Then, his good footwork helped him stay with his man.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1506832' first='Heston' last='Anderson'] 5'10 180 Minneapolis Washburn – Anderson showed tight coverage early. Then, his physical play led to an incompletion.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1613158' first='Landon' last='Thomas'] 5'7 130 Faribault Thomas showed excellent hips and footwork as he stayed with his man through multiple cuts. Then, he undercut a route and deflected a pass.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Walker Moser 6' 162 Eagan – Moser made a good adjustment on the ball to come up with a pick.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1651666' first='Revis' last='Cooney'] 5'7 150 St. Thomas Academy Cooney undercut a route and almost came up with a pick.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1242812' first='Kashawn' last='Parker-Watkins'] 5'8 150 Brooklyn Center – Parker-Watkins made a nice play on the ball, defending a fade route.
